This doesn't work. Every one in awhile you can get it to work. But then it randomly turn off and on by itself. Don't waste your money on this product.

I read a lot of negative reviews and almost didn't buy this. Maybe the maker has a quality control issue, but the product I received works as it should.

Easy to install--just plug it in! Know that the outlets are still in the front, so using it behind furniture that is pushed up to the wall will mean it needs to come away from the wall about 4" to allow for both the outlet and the cord for whatever you plug in. My only complaint is that it tuns on (mostly) and sometimes off at will--any sound, laughter, cat meowing, coughing, etc can activate the switch. Most of the time it is no big deal, but during the night when it has turned on because you coughed, you have to clap loudly 3 times to get it to turn back off, which may be a nuisance to some "light" sleepers/partners.

It was not as I remembered as a kid. But it works.. it’s the basic model smaller. Easy to plug in wall. Then plug in lamp. You have to clap hard but it is still good.

It works but it is making my lights go on and off all day. Coughing, cooking, silverware on plates, any banging noise.

This product is garbage. No directions, no safety instructions.Once plugged into your lamp of choice, a cough, a sneeze, even walking past to fast or loud I guess.. makes this turn on and off. Consistently turning on and off, even while in the room, talking about how awful it is, and laughing cuz it won't stop...makes it turn on and off more.100% a FIRE HAZARD!!!PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

We bought “The Clapper” because we have an extra tall floor lamp. Since it’s so tall, I can’t reach the switch. My husband can but it’s a stretch. I told my best friend about it & she suggested “The Clapper” as they had it & used it regularly. I purchased it & it has been a game changer. It’s so convenient to be able to “Clap on, Clap off”. It checks off all of the boxes, good price, convenient product & makes life much easier. The only draw back is I had a sinus infection recently & I happened to cough twice, close together, well it turned on & 2 more coughs & it turned off! That feature has provided us with a lot of laughs, and who couldn’t use a little more humor in their life?

It's not consistent, it goes off & on at will, so it's very inconvenientIt doesn't always respond to clapping but will shut off or go on when I cough which is often due to my asthma. I'm disappointed in this product
