Overall, a good mudroom hutch. I had been looking for a few months and I found this one which was a good price, and had overall good reviews. When we received the box, it was in pretty good condition, and no pieces were damaged. The instructions were overall clear and it took my fiancé around three hours to assemble, a few pieces being frustrating, but would be easier with two people. Once it was put together, we noticed a few small nicks/cheap parts in the pieces, but they were minor. Overall it seems pretty sturdy and fit the space we were looking perfectly! I would purchase this item again, and I would recommend purchasing it as it is a good price for the product!

Great piece for our entryway!! But holy cow was it time consuming to put together - almost 6 hours. Be prepared for lots of pieces and lots of time spent on this one. But it’s gorgeous and worth it! My only wish is that the cubbies up top were a bit wider as it’s hard to find baskets that fit.

When I ordered this, I took a huge gamble as it was an early access item with very few reviews and very mixed opinions. As for the installation - prepare yourself, because it does take about 3 hours. That said, all of it is relatively easy, it’s just a lot of pieces and sorting through it. Overall, the quality of this is sturdy and beautiful. Some people stated that the back was not secure, but if installed correctly and mounted to the wall as suggested… it’s perfectly fine. The only way I can see it being an issue is if you’re not planning to place it on a wall. The color is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! The stock photo does it no justice honestly. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase and my only advice is to give yourself time to put it all together (my husband is a carpenter, the 3hr reviews are accurate).

I’ll be coming back and adding an update to this review. I have not lived with this hall tree yet, but I foresee it falling apart. Over a few months, I have picked up a half dozen pieces of furniture from places like Amazon and ikea. I built it all, I can feel pretty confident in rating them for initial quality and this hall tree ranks lower than most. One thing to note is the stickers that cover up hardware don’t match the finish they are designed to match. This hall tree needs to have better packing material around it in order to survive. Since every piece is made of MDF with pvc coatings, there are a lot of chipped corners and dents straight out of the box. I can only assume if you have super careful delivery drivers and sorters, this hall tree needs no repairs directly out of the box. My tree needed pieces glued back together for aesthetic purposes only. After assembling so much of this MDF furniture, I have got into the habit of soaking the screw and dowel holes with ca glue and activator. The MDF soaks up the ca glue and spraying the activator on it solidifies the glue and turns the sold wood into more of an insert. You still need to be careful with torque, but with everything glued together it becomes pretty solid. Considering the daily use and borderline abuse this hall tree will be seeing, I’m skeptical of its longevity. We will see. Note: all pics are of the unit freshly assembled. Damages to the black finish and wood were caused in shipping. The box had minimal damage to it.

For the price, this is a beautiful piece of furniture. It took me about 6 hours in total to put it together. You need 2 people for some parts of it. The instructions were excellent! I would have given it 5 stars if not for the fact that I couldn’t nail the whole back onto the flimsy piece that was supposed to secure it. I ended up using packing tape where I couldn’t nail it. Also, when you are putting the back on, start from the left edge and work your way in. I went the other way and there was an overhang that I had to deal with. I bought some baskets on Amazon pretty cheap to use to put gloves, mittens, hats, etc. in and I think it looks good. I would definitely recommend this item.

Great look. Be ready to spend about a day to put together hundreds of small pieces. At the end, it was worth the time. We get a lot of compliments from the friends and family. It looks just like on the picture.
