After overcoming the fear of opening it, I poured a handsome tumbler and ran it around the glass a little. The smell had none of that 'in your face' whoooof of so many whiskys. That sharp brutal unapologetic smack in the mouth I anticipate and have too often to get around or get over before I can start to enjoy the taste. This was smooth, subtle and sensuous. Sensational. The feel of the sup in the mouth and on the throat was soft and easy and allowed the taste to be savoured right from the start. Then it seemed to just keep on giving. Lovely!

I buy this every year as a gift for my father, who is very particular about his whisky. He loves this tipple and it's by far his favourite. I'm not a huge whisky fan, but this really is very good, with a lovely smooth flavour.

Fantastic Whiskey, get two every year for my father in law who also loves it. He has decided this is his favourite Whiskey ever and at 80 years old he’s had a few drams over the years lol In all seriousness this is a wonderful whiskey and worth every penny

What a great whiskey. I found this very more ish. It took some serious will power to put this down, pricey but in my opinion it is worth purchasing. I will be purchasing another one for sure.

Whisky itself is nice, Glenfiddich oaky comes through as well as faint sparkling wine and a bit of fruitiness. Nice for 40% abv. I’m no sommelier so that’s my description going by my nose and taste buds, if you need more details it’s in the marketing spiel, I think it’s a pleasant dram if a bit overpriced but you are paying also for a fancy revolving display box. My opinion take another 23 year old equivalent minus the box = £50 saving 🤷‍♂️ Also my box arrived not in perfect condition however customer service was excellent in assisting me with this issue. Overall it’s a nice whisky and I would perhaps buy it again if it was a few pounds cheaper

Ich habe es als Geschenk für meinen Mann gekauft, der Whisky sammelt. Das war alles, was ihm noch fehlte. Ein großartiger Whisky.

Diese Flasche toppt wirklich alles, sowohl in der Präsentation als auch im Geschmack. Die Verpackung um die Flasche herum hat keinen Deckel an der oberen Seite wie üblich, sondern einen Drehmechanismus welcher wirklich jedes einzelne Mal das innere Kind in mir zum Vorschein bringt. Es ist nichts atemberaubendes, aber doch irgendwie faszinierend. Ich bin kein Experte, was Whiskygeschmack oder -geruch angeht, aber diese Edition hier hat mich definitiv direkt überzeugt. Der Whisky schmeckt relativ weich und lässt sich somit sehr gut pur trinken, allerdings hatte ich ihn auch mal als Teil einer Mische probiert und auch hier kann ich überhaupt nicht klagen. Die Flasche selbst ist so, wie man sie von Glenfiddich gewohnt ist, sprich dreieckig mit runden Ecken und überwiegend durchsichtigen Etiketten versehen. Der Preis ist vollkommen in Ordnung für das was man kriegt und generell würde ich diesen Whisky somit jedem empfehlen, der interessiert ist. Ob als Geschenk oder für den Eigenbedarf ;)
