Excellent, Now Perfected Water Picture Filter Which Removes 100% of Fluoride
This is the first water pitcher filter I've had, but I think it's great. I no longer need to buy the numerous 3 L bottles of spring water I've been getting for decades, lugging them from the supermarket every week. Also, I don't have to worry about microplastics in bottled water. This water pitcher filter usually gets the best reviews of comparisons with other water filter pitchers, removing more harmful contaminants overall than the others, including fluoride, which I am particularly concerned about because I don't want to drink it, and my city, as is the case with about 80% the municipalities in the country, fluoridates their water. I sent out a sample of water filtered with my Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher specifically for a fluoride test, as several reviews that tested it said it had no detectable fluoride, but a couple others found some--in one test it only removed 33% of the fluoride and in another it actually actually increased the fluoride something like 160% over the unfiltered water, but those results were probably false readings because of the testing methods used. My results came back with no detectable fluoride, and my city, according to the testing company's data, fluoridates the water to 0.71 PPM at the water facility, and at the tap it is 0.5 PPM. I don't know of any other water filter pitcher that effectively removes fluoride like this one, except one that is said to add aluminum. The filters for this are claimed to last about twice as long as other brands, lastng about three months if the picture is filled every day. I've used the filter about two months now, although only filling the pitcher about every other day (in which case it should last six months), as I mainly use it for coffee, and although the filtration has slowed from when I first got it it's not too bad--it seems to slow more in the bottom third of water left in the reservoir. The filtered water tastes fresh and free of the taste or chlorine by-products you often get from tap water, and works very well with coffee. Because I use it for coffee, I keep the pitcher unrefrigerated on the kitchen counter, shaded from the spotlights by being stored under the shadow of cabinets and a microwave oven. I think the Clearly Filtered Water Picture it is well-made and designed, but be sure you are getting one with the newly modified reservoir that came out about a month ago, which Clearly Filtered accommodatingly sent me free as a replacement, which has two vertical ribs on the front of the reservoir to take up the space between it and the body of the pitcher; the ribs prevent the bottom of the reservoir from swiveling forward in front and raising up about a quarter of an inch above the top edge when pouring. The only downside is it makes the reservoir harder to remove, as I was afraid to pull too hard on the attached front half of the lid. As opposed to some other comments I've read, I do have confidence in the strength of the handle attachment to support the full weight of the pitcher when full. Within the last year, they redesigned the priming bag, which is now clear instead of blue, to be easier and more effective to use, and I had no problem with it. (When I first tried to remove the priming bag, for several minutes I ridiculously tried to unscrew the top rim of the filter, which is permanently attached, instead of the primer bag itself, which screws on and off easily.) The company customer service through Amazon messaging is very responsive, and as I mentioned, they sent me the improved replacement reservoir for free when it was available.

Great Water! Pitcher design awkward.
The water is delicious. Pitcher and filter are great; however, when pouring water, water often splashes out of the other top end of pitcher. It's a bit messy and inconvenient. Do love the water a lot.

So great!
Short of the long: this water filter/pitcher is great! It worked, was easy to use, and I didn't have any issues. I'm not new to gravity filters. I have the big 3 gallon filters that you can use with pond water. Looking at reviews, I feel like many people just aren't used to a filter that will eliminate so many things. It takes time. So let's start from the beginning... Priming the filter is really easy. Fill up, screw on the priming bag, squeeze, and repeat. I did it three times. Yes, water comes out the sides. No, it's not a big deal as long as water is coming out of the filter too. It took almost 30 minutes exactly to run the first tank of water. Not a problem at all. You cannot pour water if there's more than half the tank of water waiting to be filtered. If you do, it'll come out of the top and either mix with the filtered water or spill all over the floor. Be patient. As long as it was less than half full of unfiltered water, I didn't have an issue pouring and keeping the filtered/unfiltered water separate. Also, slow and steady. There's no reason to pour it like a 5 year old. No, this doesn't hold a ton of water at one time. It's not meant to. You'd need a bigger pitcher/system for that. The size is great for what I needed. Once I used some, I added more water to be filtered. Don't run to empty and expect to get water instantly. I actually bought this to take on vacation with me. Went through TSA in my carry-on without any issue. (They did test it at one airport because it set off the liquid warning from being a little moist still. They just use a swab to test it, and let me continue with no fuss.) I filled this up at the airport using the water filling stations then filled our empty water bottles. I wouldn't buy this solely for that purpose, but it worked since I wanted the pitcher to use at our destination. There isn't any smell to the water. The taste is great. We really loved it. Now that we're back home, I keep it in the fridge for colder water during the summer.

Hard to trust company with every excuse in the book
Started as 5 star and quickly turned to 1 after today. We have been using this filter/pitcher for around 7 months. We loved it and thought the water tasted great out of it. I am a stay at home mom with my now 2 year old and am pregnant (due in 3 weeks). We are on well water in northern illinois, it has tested clean over the years except for nitrates and low levels of pfas so we made sure to do a bunch of research to get a filter that cleans it all. Well last night after filling my sons cup i noticed a black growth in the bottom half of the pitcher. (See attached pictures). I reached out to the company out of concern and they gave me a complete run around. Saying i need to clean it at least once a month, keep in fridge and basically blamed me for all of it. I explained to them I clean about every 2 weeks and change the filter more then recommened. I have done everything and more then what they request and all they can tell me is algae can grow if we arent drinking fast enough or it could be something in our water they dont filter, or an issue with chlorine levels. (We drink all the water from it multiple times a day) They told me i could get 20% off replacement parts. I told them I would need a whole new pitcher, how can I trust that whatever was growing isnt embedded into the plastic, to which they told me isnt possible and to just clean with vinegar and water. I told them I am beyond disappointed in this response from a company claiming to help filter things FROM our water but now concerned maybe it was causing more issues with our water and things to grow. Bummed that I have to research and find a new company to work with.

Holds about 1.5L per fill, so you will have to fill it daily.

I noticed a difference in the taste and seems to be some of the best filtering possible that still leaves the good minerals.

Excellent filter although it is bigger than I was expecting so I don’t fill it to the top as I did with my BRITA as it is too heavy. But glad I purchased it as my water has been tested and the lead content is 5.37ppm as we have old lead pipes to the house
