Fixed Knife Sheath, Brown basketweave leather,Fits up to 6in blade SH1135 / SH210 BROWN

I bought this sheath for my Case XX 300 Apache knife. The blade is 3/4" by a shade over 5 1/8". This sheath would easily accommodate a blade 1 1/4" wide. Length, it would take a 6" blade easily, maybe a shade more. My handle is 4 5/8", and sticks up 1/4" above the top of the sheath...not an issue for me. The sheath itself was made well enough. The stitching was inline where it should be, and the rivets were in the right places, and well fastened. The pattern appears to be pressed in. For the rare times I will actually wear this knife/sheath, I think it will hold up nicely. My only issue was the strap that snaps together and holds the knife in place. It is loose, and I didn't care for it moving around. A little glue from a hot glue gun solved that. I also reversed the snap, making it easier to unsnap as I sweep my hand back to grasp the knife. I can basically unsnap and grab the blade in the same motion.

These were a gift for my father in law, who had acquired some really nice hand made hunting knives, but had no way to carry them. They are much nicer than their low price suggests. The basket weave pattern is stamped, and they are made in Mexico of thick but pliable leather. Both of mine were free of imperfections and very nice. He couldn't get the snap around the handle of one, but that's sort of a minor detail. The belt looks are big and let the knife ride forward or backwards when you sit so it doesn't jam against your leg. I'd buy more if I had knives I needed sheaths for.

Less than impressed with the sturdiness of the material, but my main disappointment is the fact that this sheath was listed as appropriate size for a knife with a 5.5 to 6 inch blade, while my 5.5 inch blade knife doesn't come close to fitting. This sheath MIGHT fit a 4 inch blade.

This is a nice sheath but it runs small. I have a K-bar style knife with a 1-7/16" x 6" blade and this sheath is very snug around the blade and the area between the top of the blade protector and the leather snap retaining loop is too tight to accommodate knives with a substantial hilt. Also the retaining loop diameter is too small for my knife which measures 3.75" in circumference.

Decent quality budget level sheath. Real leather and metal rivets. No welt. I wish they made an oak acorn tooled one like the old Western's.

革はナイフシースらしく、硬めで厚みがあり気に入ってます。 ストラップの位置は好みが別れる所だと思いますが、どの様な形状のヒルトやグリップにも適応しやすいのではないかと思います。 私個人の意見としてはバスケット柄の型押しではなくプレーン仕上げが良かったです。

Feels low quality but oiled it all up and hope for a long life. My bowie knife that I have fits a bit tight, doesn't got in and out all the way smoothly because of the handle which is not very much wider. Looks good and might work better for other knifes
