Bamboo is a sustainable resource, as it grows fast and doesn't need watering other than just rain fall. No pesticides or fertilizers are used in it's growth which can be 35" in a day. These boards are machined very well, sturdy with a smooth finish. Cutting boards need attention if you want them to last, and free from bacteria so I purchased special bamboo soap, oil and bees wax. (wasn't cheap) but well worth it.

Don’t even hesitate, these are really nice cutting boards. I was worried they would be too small so I ordered all four, small medium XL and 2XL. The 2XL is huge, and the medium is larger than any of my other cutting boards of my past days. The quality is impeccable, and I believe they will last a long time. The wood’s grain is not the prettiest on the cutting surface, but that is not a dealbreaker. Buy them now!

Really like these cutting boards. I was looking for the healthiest, long lasting option I could find, like all of my kitchenware. These boards are much thicker than I was expecting, very well made. Exactly what I was hoping for and for a decent price. There is a pretty strong odor, which others have reported as well. That's the only reason I took a star off. It seems to have subsided after a few days. For the price, nothing I can't deal with for a short period of time.

I love these cutting boards! I've had them about 3 weeks, and use them multiple times per day. They are flat, rigid, lightweight, easy to handle, easy to clean, dry fast, and the range of sizes is great. Much better than the plastic cutting boards they replaced! The top and bottom of each cutting board is a single piece of bamboo. On the larger boards, one or more darker bands across the board show the bamboo's natural joints, called nodes. The boards are gorgeous to look at, a pleasure to work on, and nice to touch. (I LOVE the rounded edges.) Each board is a sandwich: top, core, bottom, with all joints on the edges of the board so no glued joint touches your food. The working surfaces smell only of bamboo. (If I sniff the edges where the glued joints are, I can faintly smell wood glue.) The boards are finished with odorless food-grade mineral oil. After 2 weeks of daily use and detergent scrubs, I started to see a slight dulling of the finish. I refreshed them using the same butcher block oil (odorless food-grade mineral oil) I use on wooden cutting boards. I made sure the bamboo was thoroughly dry, wiped on a small amount of oil, and let them dry overnight in my vertical cutting board rack. This returned the finish to like-new condition.

Easy to clean and look great

Good set of organic boards in three useful sizes replacing plastic. Have cut a variety of foods on them with no apparent damage, warping, or staining to the surfaces. Am very satisfied with this purchase.

Love these non-toxic cutting boards! Easy to wash, and oil. They are sturdy and I love the groove to catch moisture.

Love the different sizes, just wish these had handled to hang them

Looks NOtHING like the pictures. Wood has small little splinters as well. DONT buy.
