Apart from the positive effects it is meant to have for skin, hair etc. this Monarda essential oil also works very well in a diffuser which is how we use it. The smell it creates in the room is very pleasant and may also ward off flying insects although we'll need to wait for the summer months to see if that is indeed the case. It is good value for money at £7.99 for 60ml at the current time and so I can recommend this.

I recently ordered the Monarda Essential Oil for Hair Growth & Skin Care to soothe an itchy scalp, and after a couple of weeks of use, it has made quite an improvement. Not only has it calmed the itchiness, but my hair also feels a lot healthier and more vibrant. The oil is easy to apply and doesn't leave any greasy residue. The Monarda Oil arrives in a film wrapped printed cardboard box. The film wrap is non-recyclable. Printed on the box are the use instructions and the expiry date 05/09/2027. There is no GMP logo - GMP is important for product quality. The oil (60ml) is contained in a brown glass bottle stoppered with a glass pipette. The scent of the oil is floral and not like the bergamot (from an orange) used in earl grey tea. It is a pleasant floral scent. The claim is this is an essential oil and that it should be diluted in a carrier oil or shampoo. Once diluted it can be applied to the skin - I would not use it undiluted. As an aroma therapy it should still be diluted but less so. Monarda oil has been researched in small studies. The oil contains several bioactive compounds, particularly thymol and carvacrol. As an aroma therapy it may have a calming effect - possibly due to the linalool content. It may also relieve congestion and respiratory discomfort. Some of the other claims have no research basis. Topically (diluted in a carrier oil) it may repel insects and have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. The current price is £10.00 for 60ml - this is not a high price for an essential oil and consistent with other options available on Amazon.

Early days, but I actually like this. It's oily but not as oily as some other oils I've used which start off extremely oily then dry off to make my scalp quite dry and flaky. I also tend to have a lot of dry skin at my eyebrows and this is the first set I've gotten (I'm sure there's others out there but I've just not seen them) that has the additional small brushes for eyebrow application. The smell is also not overbearing which tends to out me off lots of other hair oils. Really like it, it's definitely finishing in record time

This essential oil smells lovely and makes skin feel lovely once used on hands. After using it as skin care on hands for a few days, the hands don't seem to need to soak in so much oil and i can dry my hands off with a towel after a few minutes. My hands are now soft and silky all the time. As an added bonus, it smells lovely when using it too.

Nice oil. Not too thick. I used it on my hair, before having a shampoo. The results are similar to oregano oil. The scent is very strong, just like bergamot, so many people will like it.

My wife thinks she might be losing hair so is trying this. It says it is an essential oil so as such it needs to be diluted, but my wife just drops it on and massages it in. Whether this is a good idea I don't know! Too early to tell if it is doing anything but it smells nice and in theory the ingredients should be beneficial for hair.

You get a big bottle with this which will last a really long time, so good value and very convenient It has a good smell, very pleasant and is not sticky to apply. I had not heard of this essential oil before, as it’s not one of the most well known ones but is said to be good for hair growth and strength. You can apply directly on the scalp which is pretty easy to do, and is not greasy on the hair
