Corsair AXi Series, AX1600i, 1600 Watt, 80+ Titanium Certified, Fully Modular - Digital Power Supply (CP-9020087-NA)

The Corsair AX1600i is a premium power supply that is an excellent choice for custom builds and mission critical PCs, especially in areas with frequent power problems. I bought the Corsair AX1600i to replace an aging ThermalTake 1200 watt power supply that would no longer power up my PC. The Corsair AX1600i was easy to install and has been working perfectly since I bought it. The Corsair's self-test mode allows verification of the power supply's proper operation before installation. The self-test mode eliminates a lot of stress if you aren't sure whether your PC's problems are caused by a faulty motherboard, CPU or power supply. Corsair's bundled iCUE software allows real-time monitoring of the power supply's temperature, wattage, voltage, and fan speed. The iCUE monitoring software is well-designed and attractive — a big confidence booster that adds value. Other important pluses: 1) the AX1600i uses latest technology Gallium Nitride transistors and premium Japanese capacitors for super efficient, reliable operation; 2) it is fully modular; 3) it automatically adjusts to American, European and Asian voltages; the power supply is extremely quiet. The AX1600i is heavier than most power supplies at 11.5 lbs., but I had no problem fitting it into my case. It's expensive at $619, but a bargain considering its quality components, outstanding features, performance and reliability. If you are investing your time and money in building a high-end PC, I highly recommend the Corsair AX1600i.

This works perfecty on a high end PC build in 2025 - . Nvidia RTX 5090, Intel i9-14900k, Apex Encore Z790 motherboard, G.Skil 8000 MT/s DDR5 RAM, a bunch of fans, a full custom water loop, several NVMe drives... The power supply's fan doesn't even spin up. Connectors for the video card aren't even running warm to the touch while gaming. This power supply is still amazing. Rumor has it Corsair is working on an ATX 3.1 successor to this legendary power supply, but nothing official yet. It was released in 2018 and it's still absolutely incredible.

Sticker shock can get the best of us. But there's a reason why this overengineered PSU cost as much as it does. Hardware: It's rock solid. Nothing inside the PSU is cheap. Fans are quiet out of the box and cools nicely. The stock cables are ugly (what stock cables aren't lol). I bought Corsair colored replacements and they fit like a glove and look spectacular. Software: This is where it REALLY shines. The amount of important parameters this PSU allows you to monitor is insane! Almost anything power related you can think of, you'll be able to monitor via Corsair iCue. You can adjust your OCP for literally every single output on your PSU ON THE FLY as well as switch between single-rail and multi-rail right from the app. You can also adjust fan speed and set a curve based on not only the PSU temp, but really any other temperature the iCue software has access to (and that's a lot). Also, the fan is near silent at high speeds! This is THE enthusiast's PSU. But I recommend this PSU to literally everyone that is concerned about buying twice. This is a one time purchase ordeal with this PSU. Get one.

Amazing product, Corsair always deliver, one of the best power supply you can buy right now. Soon as I got the package, very fast delivery thanks Amazon, everything looks premium from the box to the product itself nice materials and solid build, it is also pretty heavy which is always a good indicator of a high quality power supply. I bought it because is fully modular and I want a perfect wire management for my rig, the cables are long enough it comes with all the connectors you need, I personally use it with a ryzen r7 1700x two rx 570 and 16gb of ram without a single problem. I recommend this power supply to everyone who want top quality and power ( I know some of you will say 1600w is too much ) very silent I can barely hear it, different protections so your rig is safe, super happy with this purchase great job Corsair.

The good GAn power supplies have earned their reputations. I don't like running power supplies near their limits. But I have run this AX1600i at 1590 watts continually for over a year, and it has not complained or given me any problems. Its has been a good power supply for a trouble-free quiet build.

I saw the 7% one star reviews and thought, that's not too bad. But if you check Newegg, this PSU has 23% one stars. I unfortunately fall under the one stars with a PSU that died and self test fails, after just 4 days. After reading the reviews, I realize I was lucky in having it die so quickly. Many others put up with random crashes for months before the PSU completely fails. I really liked the unit for the 4 days it worked. It is quiet and seemed to handle any load. But this level of failure is ridiculous, especially at this price. I originally thought to swap it with another same unit, but now realize it is time to try another brand.

Very high quality components not just high power!

MUST BUY! great for Crypto miners to run 24/7 everyday of the week with their 10+ 1080 ti rig config (2 PSU needed). The efficiency im getting running 10x 1080 ti is 93-94%. This PSU came out on January 2018 and has better tech then the typical EVGA Supernova 1600 which came out 2014 which was 4years ago. Its very quite! its compact, and they use GALLIUM NITRIDE for their transistors and everyone will follow suit. Voltage regulation is awesome through their corsair link. Along with the cords it comes with, if you know your not going to use 3 or 4 of the cords, you can sell them for $15+ each online to recoup some cost. But jokes a side, this is a great power supply, even if your not a crypto miner, this is by far one of the best PSU for gamers too, and everyone knows corsair products are top of the line.
