One Pot of the Day (Williams-Sonoma): 365 recipes for every day of the year [McMillan, Kate] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. One Pot of the Day (Williams-Sonoma): 365 recipes for every day of the year Review: Lots of great recipes - Great book. There are some recipes i probably won't use. However there are a lot of great recipes you should try. I did a braised chicken recipe. It was a lot of work, but worth it. It turned out pretty delicious. I paired it with some rice. Check out the picture of it. If you like to be adventurous or learn new recipes, give this book a try. Review: LOVE this Book! - So surprised at some of the reviews. I LOVE this book, as wells as "One Soup." I got it over 2 years ago and still haven't tired of using it. It's really changed how I cook. I had gotten other "one pot" cookbooks and they all disappointed me. This book did not. I've given it to all my siblings and closest friends with a cast iron pot from Williams & Sonoma as gifts. True, the recipes aren't as easy as the old "365 Ways to Cook Something" books, but they are not over complicated and so diverse in flavors -- I spent one winter just trying all the short ribs recipes. Love all the pictures, the break out into months, the easy ingredient lists. This has become my go to book -- especially in the colder months. I've tabbed all the recipes I've tried and am looking forward to trying more.

Awesome
This is the second book I've purchased from WS's "____ a Day" collection. I like to try new things and having a recipe for every single day of the year makes this a lot easier. If a particular day's recipe doesn't spark my fancy, I usually find something I love within a range of 2-3 days! Yes, a lot of the recipes are not made in ONE pot, but I personally did not interpret the title literally (and for the record - using a colander does not constitute a second pot - I'm surprised people aren't complaining that the title didn't explicitly specify the need for utensils!) In a nutshell, this book provides recipes for full meals (as opposed just a salad, a soup or a vegetable - which are the other editions from WS's "_____ a Day" collection). I am not a novice in the kitchen, but not a pro by any means as well. However, I do think this book can be useful to both new cooks and more experienced ones since the recipes are laid out in simple steps yet combine ingredients in new and unique ways, which keeps things interesting for everyone. I also like that the recipes aren't too "theme-y" (turkey in November, pumpkin in October etc). This allows for neutral yet delicious meals throughout the year without feeling hindered by holiday-specific menus.

Really intriguing recipes!
I am now obsessed with these WS "___ of the day"- great way to get a huge amount of interesting recipes in one place, and thanks to Amazon much less expensive than WS sells them for. I do kind of agree with the other reviews that say it is hard to navigate through sometimes-- the index isn't fully detailed, and for the "types" of recipes- not every recipe falling in that type is always listed. However I have made a few recipes from here and have found them all delicious and not difficult, so I will take the difficulty navigating if it means I have 365 delicious recipes at my fingertips. I love flipping through randomly to "remind" myself what I have the ability to make now...

Great variety of recipes
We love this cookbook. We have had it for about two months and have made almost all the meals out of it for each month. I like the way the book is organized by month and day. When I’m planning the meals for the week, I don’t have to think about oooh what should we make? And the vegetables are in season, which is even better!! The title of one pot is misleading but I think it just means it’s more casseroles or a full meal in one dish rather than chicken with sides. The photos are great and the recipes are easy to follow. Everything we have made has been so good and has also gotten us to try new things we may not have normally thought of! Surprisingly, our favorites so far were the root vegetable pot pie and the sausage and kale with grits. These would have been two recipes we would have scrolled past on Pinterest but these were so so good! Can’t wait to see what is up for this month!

The book only came about a week ago so I have yet to try a recipe from this book. But, looking through the recipes, they look really good and I am looking forward to trying several of them. I usually find when reading a recipe I can tell ahead whether or not it will be good and these look terrific. It is true, as some reviewers have said, that many, if not most, of the recipes involve more than one pot. Things end up in one pot but there can be a series of pots used getting to the last stage. However, I am happy I bought the book and expect it to be a staple going forward.

Any food book published by Williams -Sonoma is a gem. The recipes in this book written by Kate McMillan are tasteful and delicious. I wanted to give this book as a gift but after reading this I may have to keep it !!.

I had to return this for a refund. All Kindle content I own is scalable to fit on my entire computer screen (currently, a 17" laptop), and I can adjust the font size (large), and number of columns (one)--except this book. When I tell it to show me one page, the page is centered in the middle of the screen, with impossibly small font, that isn't zoomable or enlargeable. I had really hoped I could enjoy this book, and learn some new recipes. I'm very disappointed. However, I'll still give it three stars, because I've had W-S cookbooks in the past, and I know they do educational, interesting stuff. I'm not gonna blame the author for the shortcomings of the Kindle version.

I've never been a good cook but this book makes it so easy. I'm making meals now that taste AMAZING and it doesn't take much work on my part. I recommend it to everyone. ClairesCosmetics.ca
