Q: The tablets are huge and dry and get stuclk in your throat. Are these capsules or caplets and what is the difference, I want the smooth ones?

These are capsules. The tablets say tablets and are a little less expensive but they are coarse horse pills as you mentioned. The capsules are still big but easier to handle imho.

Q: Do these have any adjuvants? Like stéarate etc.

I do not know if Ester-C has adjuvants. All I do know is that I've been taking this particular brand of Vitamin C for years because it keeps Vertigo at bay because of the bioflavonoids. I have literally taken this product when I had the beginnings of vertigo symptoms and they went away within a few hours! It helps with drying out and balancing the middle ear. Also, I have not gotten sick in many years and take this on a daily basis

Q: Has this product been tested by USP?

I had to look up USP - I don't know. There's nothing I see on the label. I'm pretty rigorous in researching products that I consider buying and this product passes muster with me.

Yes, I have the same issue with the extremely large 1000 mg tablets in this brand. I typically only take half of them. The capsules are smaller. I am rusty on my capsule sizes-- but they ar definitely smaller and much easier to swallow than the larger strength tablets. They are not the smallest size capsules. I think you will manage them.

I was looking for a product that had bioflavanoids AND Vitamin C, because my doctor recommended that I take both for various medical concerns.
