## Description

Product description Want more confidence in your off road riding? CushCore Pro tire inserts are designed to deliver optimal performance and improved traction without adding excess weight or compromising ride quality. Designed to work with a rim width of 22mm-35mm and a tire width of 2.1”-2.6”, these inserts are compatible with most tubeless mountain bike tires and include two CushCore tire inserts, two 44mm CushCore air valves, valve core tools, installation instructions, and rim stickers. These tire inserts are ideal for the majority of wheels, terrain, and riders. Once you install these tire inserts onto your ride, you can hit the trails with confidence knowing that your equipment is performing at its peak! As a company, CushCore is based on a new concept of tire suspension. Suspension systems work by utilizing a spring and a damper to diminish the effect of bumps and dips on the overall quality of your ride. Now, with CushCore, the pressurized air in your tire acts as the spring and the CushCore tire inserts act as the damper. Go bigger, corner harder, & ride faster with CushCore! What sets CushCore apart is that it’s not just for flat tire protection. The engineered foam insert acts as a damper to reduce vibration at the bar, diminishes tire deflection off obstacles, and stabilizes the tire against roll and squirm in the corners and at high speed - it even provides run-flat capabilities. Think of it as suspension for your bike tires optimized to give you a faster, smoother ride. Revolutionary Design CushCore transforms your tubeless tire into a suspension system with a tune-able air spring and foam damper. CushCore fits tight on the rim and its patented profile applies constant pressure to the tire sidewalls. This provides protection and stability even at low tire pressures. Worth the Weight Results are in. CushCore is worth the weight. Offset with a lighter tire if you want, but aggressive riders find the extra 260g per wheel (about as much as an inner tube) is well worth the freedom of a well-protected, smooth ride. Go ahead. Charge the next rock garden with total confidence. Pro-level Performance The CushCore Pro is the best choice for the majority of wheels, terrains, and riders. Our patented, revolutionary suspension design makes an immediate impact on performance. Pro racers use cushcore because it works. Get a new personal best on your first run. We’ve done the tests. Cushcore outperforms tire inserts from other brands. Think of it as suspension for your tires optimized to give you a faster, smoother ride. CushCore is designed for tubeless tire systems. CushCore is designed as a system to be used in both the Front and Rear Wheels — each kit includes 2 inserts and 2 air valves Specs Tire Widths: 2.1”-2.6” Inner Rim Width: 22mm-35mm Wheel Size: 29” Wheel Weight: 260g

Review: CushCore is a game changer! YOU NEED TO READ THIS REVIEW! UPDATED 10.21.19 REVIEW! - UPDATE: Made it through another season (2 seasons) at AngelFire bike park with NO flats/dented wheels!!! Freaken Awesome! I have been using the CushCore's for around two years at AngelFire Mountain bike park in NM with no flats or dented wheels. Anyone who has rode that mountain knows how brutal is can be on both the rider and the bike, as it is one of the most crazy MTN bike parks in the USA. I'm in my mid 40's and my quest has been to soften up the harsh bumps and not get so beat up on the trails from a full day of riding. The Cush Core's have lived up to EVERY thing they say it does. Want a nice smoother ride? Cush Core to the rescue! Want awesome grip? Cush Core to the rescue! Want to prevent pinch flats? Cush Core to the rescue! Want to run lower tire pressure (18PSI up front, 21PSI in the rear all day long) to increase tire grip? Cush Core to the rescue! Want to eliminate tire damage to those expensive carbon wheels? Cush Core to the rescue! Tired of stressing about what line to take through that rock garden? Cush Core to the rescue! Want a nice smoother ride? Cush Cores help accomplish this by allowing you to run lower PSI, which in turn will soak up the harsh hits from rocks, and makes for a noticeably more smoother ride. These stupid foam inserts work very well at absorbing impact forces. Yes they are expensive...but they WORK! Want awesome grip? With Cush Core you can run much lower PSI. I run 18 PSI up front and 21 PSI in the rear all day every day I am at the park! This in turn helps the tire to conform to the ground, and make better contact with more tire contacting the ground. The grip you will get is a game changer! Berms are a blast to take at speed, allowing you to push the front tire a LOT harder into the turn, and be rewarded with confidence inspiring grip! Like to roll tires??? Get Cush Cores! They won't break a bead at low PSI at all!!! Want to prevent pinch flats? One of the major benefits from running Cush Core's is the pinch flat protection these things provide. I have had NO flats while running these things at 18 PSI up front, and 21 PSI in the rear. I bomb the bike into the most rough rocks, cuz I get a little crazy and don't take good lines. and not once have I had a pinch flat, even when I do have a hard hit, and a rock manages to hit the rim, the foam inserts to their job, and prevent pinch flats. Want to run lower tire pressures to increase grip? Like I've stated above, I run 18PSI in the front, 21 PSI in the rear all day, every day on the mountain! The grip is off the hook!!! It has bumped my stoke to ride way higher than it's ever been!! Taking turns and rolling tires without the worry of breaking a bead, or the tire letting loose is a thing of the past!!! Cush Core's allow you to run stupid low PSI's which provide stupid levels of grip! What more can I say????? Those who have run such PSI know what I'm talking about! Give it a try...these things work! Want to eliminate tire damage to those expensive carbon wheels? These stupid little foam inserts will save you $$$$ as you can be really abusive with the bike on the mountain, and not have to worry about damaging those carbon wheels. I'm sure you can really push it, and still damage a wheel with Cush Core's, but you will probably also break the bike frame at that level of abuse. If you do damage a tire, and get a flat (this has happened with Cush Cores with some professional riders) you can safely ride the bike down the mountain, and not damage the wheel! Getting a flat at the top of the mountain with a 7 mile hike down is not fun and can ruin your day! Will not happen with Cush Cores! You WILL be able to ride the bike down, with NO wheel damage from a flat tire. Tired of stressing about what line to take through that rock garden? With Cush Core's you just point the bike, and go! No more stressing about what line to take to get through that nasty piece of trail. No more stressing about hitting the rear tire on a flat landing because you didn't clear the transition on that massive gap jump. Just go for it! Cush Core's will get you through it with NO pinch flats or wheel damage. As you can see I am completely sold on this product! I will NOT ride without Cush Cores! They are that good! They are worth every penny you will have to shell out for them. If they charged more money, I would pay it! Even if they were harder to install than what they already are, I would happily do it all over again! They are a game changer 100%! Do yourself a favor and buy these for your MTN bike! It WILL make you a much more capable rider, your bike much more durable, and your experience much more better than it ever was before.... I hope this review helped to make your decision to get these things a no brainer. Please read below for tips on how to install these things that will make your life a breeze the first time getting these bears on. Installation Tips for Cush Core: Watch the install video at Cush Core's site. There is one thing that most videos don't tell you about to make the install go much easier and that is to stretch the foam inserts BEFORE you try to get them on the wheels. I used 45lb dumb bell weights to stretch them out for around 30mins. They were absolutely easy to get on the wheels after they were stretched. This eliminated any fuss that you see in install videos with everyone making birthing sounds trying to get them on. Next, make sure you buy tire levers that have a steel core! You will break normal tire levers that are plastic, so get the ones that have a steel core! This will greatly aid in getting the last bit of tire on the wheel. Once you have the Cush Core's mounted on the wheel, then the fun part starts; getting one side of the tire bead on the wheel. The first bead isn't that bad, it's the second bead that's a real pain in the rear. What I did, was use a LOT of soapy water...some say that personal lube works really good, but I got it done with soapy water. Spay down the bead, and the wheel, then use this technique to get the bead on; start at the stem, using both hands, firmly grab the tire at the bead, and "roll" the bead under the Cush Core towards the center of the wheel well. The bead will go in easly. When it gets hard is the last 3/4 of the tire which will require that you use the tire levers. Before you do that, spray down the exposed bead, and the wheel, then use the tire lever to push the bead that has already been mounted on the wheel, further into the wheel well. Once that is done, then you will be able to use the levers to get the 3/4 of the rest of the bead on the wheel. If you follow the directions, and also stretch the inserts before mounting them, your install will be a success with minimal effort and cursing. Do NOT allow any of the nay-sayers keep you from getting these things. Yes it's a little harder that getting a new tire mounted, but it's not much more harder that what the majority of the reviews say it is. They are NOT doing it right, and making the install much harder than what it should be.
Review: Opens up new opportunities with your tires and easy to install if you do it right - Love these things. Gentler ride, stiff sidewalls at low pressure, makes me feel good about myself, why not. And i'm writing this review for anyone who thinks these are hard to install. They are a piece of cake, if you do it right. Don't buy those fancy big tire levers and bead holders, any levers will work. I use tiny plastic levers. Here is the trick. When you install the Cush, do what they say and place a hammer over your rim and step on it to hold the rim down. Now pull up and around on the Cush Core and imagine you are getting a free work out, don't be a whimp. Next get a spray bottle of soapy water and work one bead over the tire completely so the tire is outside the rim on both sides. Doing this will hold the tire in place vs both beads outside of the tire on one side. Now the part that people get stuck on....use more soapy water and start tucking one of the beads between the rim and the Cush Core, it's really easy because the cush core holds the bead on. When it starts getting tight push the bead and cush core into the center of the rim and then the rest of the tire will pop right on with some light lever action. Do the other side the same way. The trick with all this is the Cush Core holds the bead aganist the side of the rim and you just have to push it into center just a bit and it is suprising how much the Cush Core will give to let you do this. Really easy. 1000 times easier than a street moto tire or big adventure tire, 100 times easier than a dirt bike tire and not much harder than a MTB tire without it. Don't second guess it, buy these thins and enjoy experimenting with lower tire pressures or keep your pressure the same and enjoy the stiffer side wall, it really does help.

A very expensive piece of foam but really does help save rims! My son does enduro mtb racing and these have been a life saver. They do work as advertised and we feel they have definitely paid for themselves. They are a little tricky to install and don’t go in quite as easily as advertised - nothing terrible but you should be ready for some wrestling. As far as value for money, I took a star off for the astronomical mark-up on these pieces of foam…that said they are saving expensive rims so it helps justify part of it. We would definitely buy this again and recommend it if you are going over rocky terrain where you are concerned abt rims.
