I purchased this set for my younger technicians to help prepare them for the ASE test. ASE is a requirement for General Motors technician's. Excellent materials, excellent quality. I highly recommend.

Overall these books are super helpful. They definitely get me well prepared for my ASE tests. I do, however have a few issues with them. 1. There are a handful of typos which are really no big deal. 2. A handful of the drawings they provide in the practice tests are a bit unclear and make it hard to get the answer correct. Still not too big of a deal to me. 3. My biggest issue is that a fair amount of the questions in the practice tests (roughly 10 - 20 per book) are either extremely dated or just too confusing to know what they are actually asking. I'm probably in the wrong as far as being a well rounded tech is concerned, but I just don't understand why the tests are asking questions about technology that hasn't been put on new vehicles since the '80s and '90s or earlier (like throttle body injection and vacuum advance ignition systems). For my current job I never need to deal with technology that is more than 10 years old. Again, I'm probably in the wrong about this. I highly recommend these books, even with the small issues I have with them. Even with the handful of dated questions, the study material is still extremely helpful. Overall, these are an amazingly effective and helpful tool to use for preparing to take your ASE tests and are well worth the price. After all, who doesn't love useful tools?

Ordered these 1-31-23, arrived on 2-2, took the A7 and A4 test on 2-3 passed👍 I needed these as a refresher course for my recertification and I'm confident I'll pass the rest of them with the help of these study guides. I had these same guides back in the 90ies and they helped me then. A lot has changed in 30 years and these guides have changed with the times. The guides will pay for themselves, especially now the way shops are paying for good tech and the sign-on bonuses lol. Spend the money and don't look back.

If you are taking ASEs, these are a very good study guide. A great review if you are worried or forgotten some things. I passed every test taken after using these for study.

These books are very good. Ive only full read three of them now but the information seems accurate and explained in a way normal people can understand. Also has plenty of pictures for refernces so you can understand what they are talking about. IF youre thinking about buying them, just do it, worth having them even as a reference.

Purchased these to help my husband prep for the many ASE exams he's been testing for. He uses these along with other books and YouTube videos to review for the exams. So far he's been 5 for 5 passing, and he has found these to be very helpful.
