My kids really enjoy using this beginner violin book with their music teacher. It starts very simplistic with the whole notes G D A&E for plucking or pizzicato only and moves on to trickier notes and songs over the course of the book. It's great for explaining music word meanings with all the Italian words explained in parentheses so that the children learn what words mean: for example andante means walking pace, Allegro means running pace, pizzicato means plucked and ff means very loud. It has 26 songs which are all inluded on the CD as well. Highly recommended.
