The camera does NOT turn on.
The camera does NOT turn on, even with a fully charged battery put in. Amazon have found it at (The Game Sanctum) & has been delivered in a ebay box. I do NOT think it is Brand NEW at all.

Fantastic camera for astro-photography
I bought this camera to use it as a replacement for a dedicated astronomical CCD camera for deep sky imaging. It's a little fraction of the price, works amazingly well and at times it'll surprise you. It's a pretty capable camera if you're intending to use it for astro photography, easily and solidy attached to the telescope once a t-ring is used and presents magnificent exposure and iso settings that would beat many of the dedicate cameras out there. For domestic use, it's still excellent and for the price it offer more than you think. Recommended.

An excellent camera obtained at a good price
This body is a great improvement on the previous one I retain - an EOS450D, the buttons having been moved sensibly, so that it is not now easy accidentally to obtain the wrong function with your right thumb. (The self-timer was a particular issue, as far as I was concerned.) It has a great variety of functions, including a good movie option, which I did not have before and the sensor resolution of up to 12 megapixels, combined with accurate colour reproduction gives excellent pictures. I am extremely pleased overall, although the selection of some menu features is a little clunky and complex to select - the reason for 4 stars, rather than 5. At £289 it was obtained at a very good price - great value for money.

some issues...
This is a nice camera to handle,the only dissapointing thing is when using the view finder the image is small which doesn't help when composing pictures.I use to have a canon AE1 program which was much better in regards to this,also the split circle focusing was a much better idea than manually focusing with the entire screen,the close up focusing option is aukward to use.Apart from that it is a good camera to use.

What was shown on pics was not what was delivered. The lens was missing.

Great Buy
Great, It looked brand new except there is a verticle line of dead pixels in the screen but it doesn't affect the pictures. Assume that was why it was sutch a great price.

Great camera
A cracking camera. My first digital SLR. I always used to use a film SLR but moved to digital point and shoot years ago but have never really been that happy with it. This has changed all that. It's great just to use a view finder rather than squint at a screen. The cannon is simple to use packed with easy to access features. Battery life is amazing too. Our old digital point and shoot the battery only lasted a few hours. This one never stops. Highly recommended.
