48-inch reach is very handy
I almost purchased a smaller, less expensive version but there were 3 things which convinced me to buy this particular Key-Bak: > 48-inch cable At work, they issue a very cheap, retractable-key version. (Not even the "Key-Bak" brand.) The cable is short, probably 24-inches and whatever it's made out of, breaks more often than we should be dealing with. I've been finding that the 48-inch cable length of this Key-Bak has been very handy, more than I initially realized. I'm glad I didn't buy the shorter one. > Durability I was going to buy a shorter-cable Key-Bak but when I saw that it had a "steel" cable, it convinced me to buy this one. The plastic housing also seems to be very well made. > Reviews I read several other Reviews here but the ones which convinced me to buy this particular Key-Bak are the ones where those Owners had left their key in the Ignition when they got out of their vehicle. Naturally, the Key-Bak Product would break but what sold me was when they said they would buy another one. My experience with this Key-Bak has been very positive. I work 5-days a week and right around 8-hours a day. I'm a Janitor at work. My Key-Bak only contains 4 smaller Dispenser keys and a Key Fob for the many doors I have to open throughout the day. Although I open a few different "types" doors, I probably use that Key Fob 80 times during each Shift. So about 400 times each week and I've had this Key-Bak for almost 2-months now. As I examine it closely, the only sign of "use" is a very minor scuff (not even a "scratch") mark on the flat part where the name is. Yes, I lock and unlock the ball-joint many times throughout the day. When I first saw the photos of this Product, I thought the slot up its side was unnecessary but once I started using it, I quickly realized that this is the track for the cable. Without that slot, the Key-Bak would twist and put pressure on your belt. This is a well thought out Product. Before deciding on this particular Key-Bak, I did hesitate because of it's size. Yes, it is 2.25-inches wide but it's also 2.75-inches tall (not counting the Ring or the Ring's holder). The Ring itself is 1.5-inches in diameter. So, with the Ring locked in place, the entire unit measures 4.5-inches (from the top of the holder to the bottom of the Ring). I'm an average size guy but with this Product on my belt, I don't feel like it's out of place on me. The only "negative" I can find for this Product is that it takes me several seconds to remove it from my belt. Of course, this could be a "positive" for some of you. In other words, it's not going to come off of your belt unless YOU purposely remove it. ------- Update ------- This Product lasted almost a year. I didn't realize that "I" had been abusing it by always releasing my keys when the cable was fully extended to its 48-inch length... but even with that it did last quite a while. When it broke, I did some research and bought a different Brand. This one had a 31-inch reach, a metal shell and was "supposedly" Rate at 100,000 Pulls. It last ALMOST 1-month. (The entire Product just came apart.) Two of the same Products came in the same Order. Just a week before it broke, I had given the 2nd one to a co-worker. The day it broke, I decided to go back to a "Key-Bak". It should be here in a few days. When the Key-Bak broke, its cable had pulled-away from its connection inside the plastic housing. With the new Key-Bak, I think I'm going to place a rubber washer on the cable, between that metal ball and the plastic housing. This should help absorb a bit of the shock each time I release my keys.

Keeps Your Keys From Falling Out of Your Pocket While You're Popping Squats at Work
Not to brag, but I've lost a lot of stuff. Thank you ADHD. Truly my most unreliable and loudest friend. Security badges, keys, knives, my wife, walkie talkies, my “Jamaican Me Crazy" keychain, etc. ALL GONE…until I got this KEY-BAK Keychain that is. If you know me you know two things, I like a good vegan pancake, and I look good in a long sleeve shirt, (which is also primarily all I wear, and some people might say that means I always look good, but we aren’t here to talk about those heroes) but if you really really know me, you know your boy is going to lose a few things. Now don’t get me wrong, I believe everything has it’s place and every place has it’s thing…or else. However, even someone as sane as myself is going to eventually lose something. You can’t bend, lift, high-kick, and squat as much as I do, and then not expect to have something fall out of your pocket (and if you really really really know me, you know I pop A LOT of squats). I work hard for what I got, so you better believe I’m showing off the goods. That’s neither here nor there, all I’m saying is my penchant for the dramatic and my “grotesque” need for never-ending compliments has betrayed me a time or two. If you’ve ever worked in an office, you know the deal. You go in dreading your day, you swipe your badge to enter the building, pop your squat, and then your horribly janky badge reel breaks. Now you’re left carrying your badge and or keys around like a chump holding his best friend’s purse while she takes her 97th selfie, hoping one day she’ll look at you the same way she looks at that phone. That’s no way to live, (unless you’re any type of politician, then it's deserved), and that was almost me until I got this key reel. I’ve used this KEY-BAK Keychain NONSTOP during my 10+ hour shifts, and it still works flawlessly. The cord still feels good and the base is solid. I'm not a big fan of the Happy Meal plastic toy feel, but if I focus on the positives (an attitude of gratitude, thank you very much) and have a drink or three, I'm good. When I see other people with their regular run of the mill badge/key reels, I feel a little sad for them. For any squat they pop could be the last.

I ordered this recently to replace my old keyring, which was wearing out after five years of heavy use (I had to buddy that one up and attach a second keyring in the final few months to support the increasing weight of extra keys). Anyway, I bought this one having read good reports about it on Amazon. I should mention though, that this keyring isn't made by Baracoda - it's actually built by a US company called Key-Bak, and are shipped over from New York. I've had it for about two weeks now, and I've noticed it's considerably stronger than my previous two combined keyrings. I quite like the ability of being able to 'lock' the keys in place when the cord is retracted, which is done by clipping the attachment into the body from the side. This is particularly useful for me, due to my large key collection. The only thing I would say, is that the cord is VERY long. I'm over 6' tall, and even when the keyring is attached to my belt, reeling out the cord to its full length allows the keys to touch the floor, so it's a good thing I can lock them in place! If you don't mind waiting a few days for delivery, I would say it's very much worth paying for.

El llavero es de muy buena calidad. Lo recomiendo

Nach 11,5 Jahren Dauergebrauch ist das Seil gerissen. Respekt. Andere Hersteller schaffen gerade mal mehrere Wochen.

It works as advertised, but this thing is huge. It’s like a badge holder for elephants.
