Stamp is good, design is cute, loving getting back into stitching, but the floss is really thin, it pulls, knots, shreds.... it's mostly annoying. I think it's time for me to start building my DMC floss collection again!

It's exactly what I expected, having done a few other of similar kits before. It's a pre-printed canvas with cards of numbered embroidery threads. You basically cross stitch, using the symbols on the numbered threads to match into the corresponding printed symbols on the canvas, and when you're done, you wash the embroidery to remove the printed pattern. It comes with all the thread you need, needles, and canvas. The canvas (Aida cloth) is very stiff and you shouldn't need an embroidery hoop if you watch your tension. The resulting embroidery is NOT as detailed as some of the product info pictures show — it's cross stitch, so it will have a bit of a pixelly look when it's done... just something to be aware of. There is a separate printed key included.
