Review: Great headphones when you need to hear the world around you - These are awesome. Sound: based on some non-scientific testing, the headphones seem able to reproduce sound down to about 100Hz, so low bass and sub-bass won't really hit the way you're used to. In most cases I can still hear the bassline because of the overtones, and I'm happy with the overall sound quality. For genres like folk music(or other acoustic/unplugged type music) you might not miss the low frequencies at all. Comfort: I have a large head. When buying hats, I buy the largest size and hope it's big enough. The regular size of the Openrun fits me almost perfectly. I can lean back without moving it very much, something many reviewers have trouble with. If you can wear the 'mini' version, I recommend it; wear the smallest version that will fit. That said, it's ALMOST too small, and wearing it all day does cause a little soreness where the band contracts the front of my ears. Battery: I received the headphones and charged them up in the afternoon, and then used them/tested them out most of that evening, probably 3-4 hours. I then turned them off, turning them back on the next morning at 7:30 am to start my work day. I wore them all day, listening to music and YouTube videos, shut them off for the drive home(about 45 minutes) and then used them another 3 hours before the voice in the headphones said 'charge me'. I'd estimate that was a total of 13-14 hours. Most of the time I had the volume set to about half, or a little under, which brings me to.... Sound leakage: At what I would consider normal/comfortable volume, another person would need to be within one or two feet of your head to hear THAT you are listening to something, and would be unlikely to know WHAT you're listening to. At max volume, that increases to 5-6 feet to notice the sound, and a few feet away to potentially hear details. I can't imagine ever using the headphones that loud. A word of warning: normally cranking up headphones HURTS, but these don't(?). They seem to bypass, at least for me, the part of the hearing system that feels pain, which makes me worry that I(you?) could damage the inner ear without realizing it. Situational awareness: Now, last but certainly not least, the reason I started looking at bone conduction headphones in the first place. I'm an amateur photographer who often goes out at lunch to take pictures of local birds at the park near my office, and other places on weekends. These let me hear well enough to find birds in the trees by sound. They really don't interfere with normal hearing at all. It's kind of wild when you first use them. In addition, I can be listening to music, etc. and still hear/interact with family and friends, or coworkers at the office(see above: wearing them all day at the office). They're light, a good value for the performance, and well worth buying.
Review: Game changer for those who have terrible with earbuds - So I have always struggle with keeping earbuds in my ears. I feel like my ears must be in between sizes of the little rubber things they give you to fit them in your ear canal. So I've never been able to wear ear buds without having to constantly push them back in. I have headphones that hang over each ear, which helps, but unfortunately, the sound quality isn't as good and they are very difficult to keep on my ear with glasses. These shokz headsets have surprisingly good sound quality. There's even substantial bass, although if the bass is too heavy, I feel a noticeable vibration where it touches my face, which is pretty distracting. I can generally turn the volume down to remedy this. These are the only headphones I've ever worn that can handle a run without budging. This includes profuse sweating and my glasses on. I do have to put the headphones on first, then my glasses on top, to ensure the shokz make good contact to my head, so my glasses are slightly less secure. Phone calls are surprisingly clear, both from my end and from the other person's end. I can have a clear conversation while running out while walking through a busy grocery store. Since your ear is open, there's no need for passthrough mode. On other headphones, when I turn on passthrough mode and I ride a bike, all I can hear is the wind, which defeats the purpose. With these, you can listen to music while biking while still being situationally aware. A word of caution, while the volume can't go crazy high, it can get high enough where you cannot hear your surroundings. I've been caught in the office not hearing somebody call my name. I do have an overly large head, so after several hours (4-6), the sides of my head will need a break, as the headphones literally squeeze on. But this is well worth it as it is a very secure fit. You will need to adjust to find the perfect location to position these. I put them directly in front of the little cartilage "flag" things that is just forward of my earhole. That stands to get me maximum volume and clarity Overall, I absolutely love these headphones. I use them continuously through the day, and they generally last the full 8 hour day of intermittent music/standby use. Would definitely recommend

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only headphones I'll ever use on runs
*by P***N on April 9, 2026*

I will only run with these. What I love the most is that I can hear what is going on around me all the time. So I can hear traffic conditions and/or someone talking to me if I am running with a buddy. Safest option in my mind. Battery also last for good amount of time, I'll usually charge after 3-4 runs. The sound isn't as pure as a sound canceling headphone, but the in ear headphones always fall out for me. Plus your ears don't get hot. These stay on and give clear quality sound. I'll listen to audio books and songs. You can do calls on it, but doesn't sound the best on the other end of the phone.
