PAMASE Pool Ladder Weights, 500D PVC Waterproof Tear-Resistance Stair Step Anchors, 50lbs Sand Fillable Foldable Sandbags for Pool Entry Systems

I ordered these dang bags in hopes that they would secure my above ground pool steps better than the ones I used previously. I was also looking for something that I could secure to the bottom of the railing instead of placing it on the shelf located in the center of the back of the ladder, as it’s not easy to get to once the ladder is in place and the weight just doesn’t seem to get distributed appropriately. I actually purchased pool sand because I knew I could find what I needed easier than play sand, so it cost me a bit more. It came in 50 lb bags so I purchased 2. I placed one entire bag (leaving the sand in the packaging) in each of these bags and I rolled it tightly. I got in the pool and my husband handed me one bag at a time and I clipped each one onto the step rail resting the bags along the outside of the bottom step and on top of the ladder mat that is under my steps. Now, as there was some air inside the bags, it appears that water did make its way inside the bags as well since a lot of air bubbles came out of the sack, so it wasn’t air tight. Next year I’ll try to suck the air out with my shop vac before we seal it and see if that doesn’t help keep the water out. Regardless, my pool ladder has NEVER been this secure. It doesn’t move AT ALL, which was exactly what I had hoped for when I purchased these. THEY ARE GREAT for anyone who doesn’t have a pool deck to secure their ladder or pool steps to, or you don’t want to drill holes in your top rail to secure your ladder with bolts, or if you still need more stability with your ladder that is bolted down. I highly recommend! I will try and upload a photo at a later date.

Did the trick. Make sure they are hanging on the ladder not laying on the pool bottom so you get the full weight. Quality material.

I didn’t have much faith but they work perfectly. Just installed and stairs are not trying to float up at the front. So happy I finally found a solution!

Great product! Much better than the clear plastic one I got at the pool store which deteriorated and spilled sand. I put a 50 lb bag of play sand in this blue one and removed it at the end of the season. The handle makes it easy to lift and the snap strap makes it easy to fasten to the pool ladder which stayed put all summer.
