Sawyer Products SP618 Premium Permethrin Insect Repellent for Clothing, Gear & Tents, Aerosol Spray, 18-Ounce

We've used this product before and it works. I'm writing this because I JUST used another one and the top of the nozzle came off, dropped and I couldn't find it. I thought I wasn't going to be able to use it and would have to get a replacement,but then when I picked up another one I realized the nozzle comes off all of them and I could just switch the top to the other can. I'd advise anyone to get at least 2 of them for this reason.

Great stuff for keeping ticks off while hunting

Mosquitos are attracted to me like flies to honey, and, unfortunately, I have skeeters and swell and bruise up afterwards. This product allows me to hike and backpack without being feasted on. It really works if you spray evenly and carefully. I buy a bottle every year, and it lasts the season for 2 people's clothing (shirt, pants, socks, hat). You can spray your gear too, but I haven't found a need.

We have a terrible problem with chiggers in the middle of our blueberry patch. Chigger bites itch for days, and normal insect repellant does not deter them. I researched and saw that Permethrin would repel chiggers. I bought this, went outside, and sprayed my work clothes, socks, and shoes before putting them on. It works to deter the chiggers, and am so grateful. I didn’t find that it would last up to 4 laundry washings. I re-spray after 2 times, and it remains effective. You do NOT spray this on your skin. Be sure to read the directions.

0.5% not bad for an aerosol can. Decent performance. But I’ll be buying a “mix it yourself” and a spray bottle in the future though. This will not be a repeat buy.
