I already had a similar butt collecting water off my shed and it's been great. Due to the UK water bills rocketing Northward I decided to collect rainwater from my house to use for car washing, loo flushing etc. As there's no room for a large butt I decided linking two of these was the way to go. Got the first one installed OK. Drilled the blank out for the link and that's where things went pear shaped. The two blanks for the holes are not only on the same level but once the connector is fitted it points upwards! Clearly the manufacturers have not thought this through and have not entertained the idea of linking! I soon realised the second butt was never going to fill. Fortunately I had a spare connector which I managed to seal the end on. I then drilled the holes for the link slightly lower down where they protrude horizontally, see pic. The diverter won't now work as it should but I don't think that's going to be a major issue, I can always fit an overflow or find something to temporarily bung the overflow hole. Now I await the rain to see if it all works. Update to follow.

The package arrived on time with no damage. From the time I received the package to being operational couldn’t be more than 10 mins. It was so easy to set up I didn’t even look at the insructions. I haven’t set it up on the drainpipe at the moment but using it as rain water storage for particular plants. Stable and managed to stay in place when we had strong winds. At the price and what you get, worth every penny.
