I am trying to grow out my color and the gray hair I have does show some of my scalp so this powder is great because it does camouflage the fact that the pink scalp is not visible. If you are doing the same, don't hesitate in buying this because it does the job nicely!

I ordered the lightest blonde shade possible. It’s a fantastic product I use to touch up my dark roots between highlights at the salon. It’s super easy to use and very effective. That said, the packaging is extremely deceiving. I hit pan in just a couple of weeks in use. The container is about 1” deep, the product is approximately 1/8 of an inch deep. I highly recommend because it works great, but plan on buying lots of it if you need much!

I’ve been using these types of hair line / root cover powders for years and have tried many brands. The reality is, none cover gray hair well but they do help lessen the appearance of grays and fill in sparse areas. They help blend in gray by coloring the skin underneath. So once you understand how they work you can decide if they will work for you. I went through menopause fairly early (45) and have been struggling with thinning hair since. These hairline powders are not only good for camouflaging grays but where they really shine are when used for filling in cowlicks and bald patches, sparse areas at my temples and part. I’ve even used them in my eyebrows. This powder stays where you put it but yes, some will get on your finger tips or under your nails if you forget and scratch your head or something. I just recently started coloring my grays, so I use it in between salon visits to blend some of them in. This item performs as I expected and is a great value because you get two for the price of one. My hair is a light to medium ash brown naturally, but I’m about 20% gray now (mostly around my face and temples) and get warm highlights. I purchased the dark brown shade after reading the reviews and based on my past experience with these types of products. Light and medium brown options are pretty much always too red/warm for me. While the dark brown is the perfect ash brown shade for me, I only gave it 4 stars because the shades could use some work. I’m not sure this color would be dark enough or saturated enough for someone who actually has dark brown hair. I use the sponge this comes with to fill in larger areas like my temples but then I use a small brush from another brand’s root cover compact to fill in sparse spots along my part and other small areas. I think a densely-packed eye shadow brush would also work well for this use. I’m satisfied with my purchase and would repurchase if and when I run out. My purchase came with two so I’m all set for a good while.

The color match was perfect for my hair! I've used so many other products, & the colors never match my hair nor skin tone. So ths product color gets an A+. It seems to hold pretty well too. It stayed on all day & overnight (& im a restless sleeper), & was still on this morning. It does flake off a little tiny bit when first applied, but not enough to influence my decision to buy it again. So here's the trick, once I powder it on, I lean my hair over & gently run my hands lightly thru my hair (avoiding touching my actual scalp) & shake my head around lightly. That seems to help any tiny flakes come out, so no worries about any coming off later. Once it's on, it stays put. The con, however, is huge. Whoever designed these powders, did a horrible job. The sponge almost doesn't reach the bottom powder, AND the amount of powder you get is miniscule. I only used it around my front hairline & a bit on top. It's basically gone. There is only a bit of powder around the sides of the container, which is impossible to get out due to the sponge design. (And no, I didn't overuse nor cake it on my roots. I just dusted it on.). If the manufacturer would create a better design that included a lot more powder, & a useful method to get it out, I'd certainly buy again. But until then, I'd rather go without it or try something new. It's such a bummer, cuz this could be a great product with a new, much improved design. I do love the color & staying power, but.... :(

I sincerely recommend this product. It works so well. The pictures speak for themselves...and the before and after was only one quick application on wet hair. When I take time to apply it carefully, I get amazing results. It is the best hair powder I have found. In addition to the little cushion inside the bottom of the container, it also comes with some cotton swabs and a little brush for careful, detailed application. If you try it, you will recommend this product too.

LOVE it! This is my 3rd brand purchase of hair powder. Each one I liked better than the other, not knowing what it was I was missing..just knowing they weren't perfect, hoping to get something a little better. I don't think I need anything "better" after finding this brand. Bought the lt. coffee color (having discovered the color with my 2nd brand purchase, a much better tone than the dark blonde option, but the 2nd brand had little depth, staying power, or pigment richness ..but it was a closer tone/color for my needs). This brand has it all for me, AND it is a terrific match for my eyebrows which are thinning with my age. Finding the eyebrow match has been the same journey as the hair powder..always finding something "good enough", but still lacking..never "perfect". This stuff has proven to be my "PERFECT" match in hair color for my thinning hairline AND my eyebrows. Seriously, I bought this one because it was a 2 pack and therefore cheaper than my other one (which I was having to really layer on just to get the richness in color for coverage. I was going thru the powder at a much faster rate, and didnt like having to return to purchase sooner than I thought i should). Anyways, this stuff (for me) covers, matches, stays ..without layering. This lt coffee color is a better match for me in THIS brand. If youre a medium to dark blonde with random summer lightened hair (or old lightened colored hair) growing out in random stages ..could be a great match! I have a cool skin tone (naturally on the pale side..but not porcelain) and light eyes. (In the photo, u may think its not on my eyebrows..it is! they are just that thin now and basically what u see IS the hair powder (i am NOT a fan of those heavy, bold, bushy eyebrows younger women sport now..I just need an eyebrow, a natural age appropriate eyebrow)

So happy to find this product after years of buying eyeshadow for emergency hairline and part touchups. It goes on easily, works well, and lasted all day. It was also inexpensive compared to spray-on hair touch ups. Took off one star because the coloring is off.. Chestnut was the only auburn or reddish brown color available, with an online pic and a label on the bottle that would've matched my hair, but the powder that came was definitely just plain old brown. It works, but not as natural or well matched as I would like.
