I have a 13.5 lb. Shia Tzu and ordered the XS. It was almost too large, but pulling all straps to their tightest length, it fit perfectly. But if in doubt, I’d probably size down.It covers the body & shows as pictured well, the color is a good red, the SERVICE DOG labels appear to be leather & fit the VEST perfectly (not too long, etc.). The vest is new, but my dog seems to be comfortable in it. I appreciate the quality width of the straps & strong, large buckles. I only plan to use it when I take her somewhere. Long term use isn’t an issue for me.The reflective stitching appears gray depending on where the light hits it & not cheaply sewn.My very small complaint is that it’s labeled a harness when it clearly is not. I can’t attest to a dog’s ability to escape from it or not as my dog is well trained & calm. It doesn’t appear a dog could if the straps are snugly fit. It doesn’t slip and slide around chest. & works well.I’m extremely impressed w it’s control safety, & recommend it to all!

This harness for service dogs is of the best quality. It is also a very good deal compared to other service dog harnesses.My dog is a miniature poodle and weighs 13lbs and it fits perfectly.I love the handle because it helps me pick her up easier.I was hoping that this would deter people from asking to pet her but it doesn't. Maybe they can make some strips that say no petting. I have an autoimmune disease so I am taking a chance every time someone pets her.She is my Emotional support animal and I am the only person allowed a pet in my condominiums. This harness also helps me avoid a lot of questions from neighbors.I am very pleased with this and will probably buy a spare just to be safe.
