It has a manual 3-way toggle for LOW, HIGH, and REDLIGHT and a push button. Each of those settings also have a hi/lo toggle via the button press, giving it flexibility depending on need. The red light will be handy for anyone needing illumination without broadcasting their position. The other 2 settings are wide beam and focus beam. I love the company and how they do business, but even more so they just make great products. This light lasts forever, very bright, and love the magnets so I can clip it on me or on a work surface. This is my favorite go to light and having the option between spot and flood makes things a lot easier with the flick of a dial.
