They are not briar pipes, they are acrylic, and have a metal bowl insert.They do look nice, to be fair, and all had good seals between the pipe body and the insert, so there is that.After tentatively loading up one and lighting it, the metal taste is overwhelming. It's just awful. The pipe stem has a strange (cheap) mouth feel, and this pipe makes me not want to build up a cake layer to "break it in".Overall, a very unpleasant experience. They look nice, so I give them a star.
