I have just ordered these. The product description states the box contains a 1.3m cable (which is what I want). Is this correct?

Mine have a 3m cable but spec may have changed since I purchased two years ago. Use with a good DAC to get the best out of them. Chord are good.

The mic will be recognised under a "Wireless Hands-Free" device. Essentially, while using the mic the headset audio drops to a very low quality almost hands-free kit level and you're unable to use the AptX codec. I'd avoid using the microphone if possible and use a standalone.

Oh dear, I cannot answer your question about the comparative merits of all 6 of these Beyerdynamic Headphones. Bluntly only a dealer or a very rich headphone addict could do so. I suggest you do a bit of homework on the net and see if you can find some reviews of the models you are considering. Remember all reviews are subjective and only you will know which one will suite your needs by actually listening to them. Incidentally, it would be a sound idea to say how you intend to use them, e.g. listening at home or the daily commute? That is an important consideration. Do you need Bluetooth connection for a mobile, or noise cancelling for listening in public places? I own 4 pairs of headphones, purchased over a 22 year period. All I can say is that the Beyerdynamic Amiron Home headphones are the best and most comfortable I have ever owned- also the most expensive. They are old fashioned in concept, being wired, i.e. not Bluetooth or sound deadening, and they are open-backed, meaning that they generate low, tinnitus like sounds that will be audible to other people nearby. They are bulky and have a long, rubber connection cable. So, not really suitable for commuting, in my opinion. Check out a 'closed back' design rather than an ‘open backed type’ – they will not spill sounds and upset fellow commuters.. What Amiron’s are suited to is listening to Hi Fi music of all sorts, preferably with a DAC – I use a Chord Mojo, and a high quality sound source – preferably a non-compressed format like your own CD’s (if you still have some) or Tidal *.flac or MQA streaming. You will not hear their superb audio reproduction if you only listen to very compressed *.mpg's - the usual mobile phone format. The Amiron’s have a natural sounding base that will faithfully reproduce disco beats or the plucked string of an acoustic double base with equal accuracy. The midrange and top end are equally good. Really those are the qualities you are paying a premium for. If you are not a HiFi fan, I suggest there many other less eye-wateringly expensive headphones that would give you more pleasure and be better suited to your needs. Alternatively, if you do go for the Amiron's you will definitely not be disappointed with either their quality or their comfort.
