The media could not be loaded. I like the fact that I got silicone covered "tinned copper" wiring with 6, count it, 6 different colors ALL for under $15 bucks so yeah that in and of itself is a great deal. Now pair that price with this, albeit rather inexpensive yet thoughtful / considerate box, and you've got yourself quite the little deal but now I'm a tad bit mad at myself for not spending 6 or 7 more dollars and getting the same six colored wires @ 100 feet each. However that deal features PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) covered wires and not silicone. The main reason why I prefer the silicone covered wires is because Silicone handles high temps really well and is flame / high heat resistant whereas PVC has a tendency to catch on fire. Silicone covered wires may have a softer feel to them and will actually feel much different compared to the traditional PVC covered wires your used to buying but at the end of the silicone is superior to PVC in a lot of ways so to each his own. The other feature that I preferred over this particular deal over the PVC covered wires option was the fact that these wires are ''tinned copper" which, from what my research has told me, is that that feature helps with durability and longevity of the wires itself so there you have it. Be sure to check out my video showcasing the simple MOD / HACK I came up with for these wires and the box they were packaged in and I'm pretty sure you'll find yourself doing the same mod slash hack cause it helps it really does.

Don't trust the picture
I just received this wire today - and wanted to share my first impressions. The box is simple but doesn't even have a rod in it - I am expecting there to be a lot of resistance and pulling of other wires as I need to cut off wires. I knew the length of each wire - but for those shopping using pictures I added a quick photograph to show that you're getting mostly air. The rolls are very thin with wires on the outer-most 1/4 - the rest is air. It looks a lot bigger on the marketing pictures so if you think you're getting a lot of wire this way, you're not. Just 30ft.The wire quality feels ok - nice and flexible which is what I wanted. Getting the rolls onwrapped and attempting to use the box is time consuming. It's hard to find where the shrink wrap starts/ends on each roll and the box is very very tight when all the rolls are inserted. But a simple rod between two holders would do fine on your work-desk too. No requirements to use the box it came in.

Works well for train sets

Good wire
This wire strips and tins very well. It is flexible and great for projects. I used it to wire my model rail road.

Lots of colors for easy project hook up.
30 gauge is just perfect for low voltage wiring. I use it to hook up LED wiring on model train layouts. The abundance of colors make it easy to keep what runs where in check. A lot of my wiring is done under layout tables, so laying on my back staring up and holding my arms up can get confusing quick. Many layouts are over 40 ft long with literally hundreds of LED lights installed as signals or building lighting. Yes Alice old guys still enjoy playing with trains. Its cheaper than cars, safer than motorcycles and adding computerized automation makes it fun.

Good Wire - decent box w/ slight tweak (see image)
**TIP** the spools all come in a nicely fitted box with holes for each wire, but the flap you use to close the box, cuts off these holes in the front of the box. To fix this, all you do is cut a slit up the flap in line with the hole on the front, then close the box while pulling a bit on each line to make sure it goes into the slot you cut. (see image)I bought this kit for a 3D printer project i've been working on. I needed long cables to move it to an enclosure. This wire kit was just what i needed! There was plenty of each color. I bought JST and Dupont connector kits and wired up a 40-pin harness using 4 x 10-pin male/female crimps and connectors. I'm 6 hours in a 10 hour print after fully relocating and reassembling the printer components. Everything is working great.

Good quality pvc insulated wire
I bought this wire for some point to point work in a tube preamp kit. Contrary to what I've read, the insulation holds up well to moderate heat during soldering. The stranded wire takes solder easily making for good connections. The box that the wire comes in fits the spools tightly. Having wire spool off on it's own hasn't happened. I was thinking of taking off a star for the crappy little wire stripper included but couldn't. It's a gift and as such has no bearing on the wire itself. Perhaps someone will post a vid of how to use it! I'll stick to my Kleins! A worthwhile product that I will definitely buy again

Kinda small for what i need but should be useful for smaller projects.
Wow 30 gauge is smaller then i thought guess i need closer to 24... or bigger oops, oh well price was right and this might come in handy one day.

Isolant plus gros que décrit
Le fil est bien du AWG 28 ou 29 mais l'isolant de PVC est beaucoup plus épais que prévu, c'est donc un fil relativement rigide, donc caractéristiques loin de ce que je voulais.

Perfect design
The design is nice and compact, it fits well onto a shelf or workbench. The box is sturdy for being cardboard and has holes on both sides to dispense wire. The wire itself seems to be of good quality and the 6 included colours provide plenty of options for most DIY projects. Spools come with about 30 feet each which again is plenty if you're working with less than a foot at a time like I am.It's heavy enough with full spools to stay in place as you dispense wire but once it gets lighter you may need to hold it down by hand. The box is of course reusable so as you run out of wire you can replace it with a new spool.I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a space saving method of storing their small gauge wires for any project
