In the winter I have an inline humidifying system and I want to keep track of its setting (and it also reminds me to turn it off when warm weather arrives). Though I didn't have a chance to check the accuracy of the thermometer, it certainly seems to be within the usual +or- 1 or 2 degrees. If you move it from atop a high shelf to the floor just below, it shows what I expected to see, a 1.5 degree difference. It is great that you can move it from room to room easily, wait a few minutes to get the best reading and then I can tell where the hot spots are in my single zone heated house.
