Adds some lower frequency support for stock systems that lack it.
This is a very good value for the money, and I was shocked by the installation kit that included everything that you would need for a variety of installation options, including a line level to RCA converter (which I did not need to use, but will keep). This will not add window shaking bass to your car nor will it tickle the frequencies down to 20Hz, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do, and that was add some lower frequency support to the stock speakers in a 1999 Honda CRV. This model vehicle basically has no lower frequency support with the stock system, but this rounds out the sound nicely. It is a small unit and it fit beautifully into the "spare-tire" area under the rear cargo "picnic table" (if you know gen1 CRVs, this will make sense to you) and since I ran the power back there from the battery, the connections were otherwise quite easy. You will have to be willing to remove some trim pieces to run wires, but if this is a skill you have, this will be easy for you. The quality of the unit itself is really nice, and again, I am shocked at the completeness of the installation kit. It will not add powerful bass to your ride like a huge enclosure will, but it will make a thin sounding stock system sound like a much higher end system and for under $100. And given the small size and low cost, the power of this unit is really good. As a side note, this was my second choice. My first was a round unit designed to fit in the spare tire, but another seller/brand sold me a unit that was dead out of the box. I bought this one as a second choice, but frankly am happy because I think that I like it better. The blue LEDs are not visible to me since the unit is hidden in a closed cargo area, but one could get inside of the enclosure and delete the lights. I would probably have added a toggle to turn this on or off, but for this price point, I am not complaining. If this was installed under a seat, the blue light may become distracting, but if you can wire your car for this installation, you can figure out how to make the LEDs "go away." My only reason for not giving this 5 stars is because people need to understand that this will not replace a full size bass enclosure. It is not a reflection of the quality of the unit, or a referendum on the price. For what it is, it is a 5-star device, but do not expect competition levels of bass. The size of this makes that physically impossible. Updated to 5-stars. I like this the more that I use it. Just do not expect it to rattle your windows.

Get a good AMP Wiring Kit with heavy gauge power and ground cables. This thing will bump!
I installed this and was not too impressed. It barely added any base to my system. I used the included amp install kit. I could tell the install kit wasn't very good. The power cable and ground cable are not suitable for this unit but hey it was included at a great price. I went and got a 6 gauge 1500 watt amp install kit. It was a bit overkill for this unit but I was not gonna take any chances. I gotta say this thing actually bumps pretty well. With the stock install kit, I could hardly tell any difference in adjustments on any of the parameters. Now, with the upgraded wiring, I can definitely tune this thing and make it roar. I cannot over emphasize this enough: Get an upgraded Amp Install Kit with at least 10 gauge wire (8 is probably the sweet spot) and you will be shocked at the difference. Great sound at a great price. The unit is well made and performs very well for its size.

Very pleased.
So far I am exceedingly pleased with the quality of the unit, performs as advertised. Did a quick hookup to test and see how well it works, it wont blow the windows out, but for the price and size of the unit,it throws the sound quite well. For a fraction of the cost of a brand name unit, it does what I expected it do. Would recommend for someone who is tight on space or just wants a little extra bass in the vehicle.

Wow!!
Just what I needed! Not too much but just enough for a small SUV. This thing actually bumps if cranked! Most of the time I have it just above halfway. Great for the price! Most people talk about how easy the install is, but I don’t mess with that stuff! I paid someone to install for me. Totally recommend.

Stan's Mom Loves These Speakers!
Got two of these tens for my old f150 with the regular cab which has literally no room for anything else. I gotta say i am surprisingly impressed. You won't need to buy RCA cables or anything, it all comes with the speakers. Includes power wire as well but I would recommend running a heavier gauge wire from your battery than the one provided. It is insulated very well so it looks like a large gauge wire but stripped down it is a little thin in my opinion to draw that much power directly from the battery in surges like it will need to at higher gains. The Speakers: These thump pretty darn hard for some thin box speakers....if you put these into a bandpass box I suspect the thump would rival some of the name brands. With the thin sealed box the sound doesn't carry very far, which is either good or bad, depending on how annoying you are trying to be to that jerk Stan and his entitled mom that live next door. Me personally, I was hoping to wake Stan's mom up at all hours of the night, but it doesn't quite get there. I mean don't get me wrong, the crazy old bat can for sure hear me coming! I'll be removing my muffler and installing those dual straight exhausts after all. Stan's mom will love that. Inside the cab: the sound is phenomenal. I am going to have to buy some super tweeters to counteract these things cause with two of them in that small space turned up the vocals get drowned out by the King Kong in my Kab. I mean, it thumps louder than Stan's mom's thighs when she's shuffling around up there on the second floor, in between going to the restroom and screaming out the window at me about how she always wanted to live next to a body shop and she's so glad that I moved one in, etc etc. I mean she was so appreciative of the sounds she had always dreamt of, I decided to sometimes working on my truck in the middle of the night, so she wouldn't be deprived of the rhythmic pounding of my hammer on rusty metal for too long at a time. And I completely stopped using my garage to do my repairs: it was just too far away from her house. My driveway passes right underneath her bedroom window and I have found this is an ideal place to do things like body work, or testing out my new pneumatic drill that is just as awesome as the ones they use at the shop when you go to get new tires or whatever. I think i'll start rotating my own tires now that i have such a conveniently open spot to work on my stuff. Vroom vroom, Stan's Mom! The lights are amazing, I am regretting not buying the option with the color changing remote. The blue is cool, but how cool would the other colors be? I mean the blue is AWESOME so the rest is probably amazing too and i really feel like i missed out. Maybe the seller could send me a free remote since I bought two and spent the time letting everyone know about how much Stan's mom loves these speakers. I mean she just adores them, comes to the window a lot when i have them going as I change my oil in my driveway or whatever. Well that's all i can think of for now. Think I'll go put on some Mike Jones and jack the truck up and make sure none of the frame underneath has gotten any soft spots through the winter. I am pretty meticulous about rust prevention and i just got my new hammer in today and I am itching to use it, let me tell you. Here I come, Stan!
