Review: Best impulse buy I’ve made! - Full transparency. I purchased this 12 foot Christmas tree after a 12 hour night shift…right before falling asleep. My brain was not functioning at full capacity. Upon waking up and really processing that I made this purchase…I was a little nervous but I stayed optimistic. It arrived in two boxes yesterday. The boxes are pretty big and heavy. I probably could have used help lifting them but my stubbornness gave me the strength. Let me just say, I have never been prouder of sleep deprived me! It’s so good! It’s easy to assemble! It looks so much nicer than other trees I’ve had in the past. It’s a very full tree! If you spend the time to fluff the branches it is a thick tree! Fluffing the branches did take about 2 hours but it’s a big tree and I am only 5’2 so there was a lot of ladder climbing involved. Also, I’m pretty particular about fluffing the branches so I didn’t let anyone help me. So admittedly it would have been quicker if I wasn’t a crazy person. I have not decorated the tree yet but I can tell the branches are sturdy and plentiful enough to hold many ornaments. I’m very happy with the shape! I was a little afraid that the tree would end up looking super skinny but I think it’s very nicely proportioned. As for shedding, it’s a flocked tree so it’s going to shed. If you don’t want to clean up some snow then I would recommend not buying a flocked tree. The lights connected easily they just need a little wiggle once you put the pieces together and then they work just fine and screw together tightly. They lights have a multiple different options as far as colors and light patterns go. My family was divided between white or color lights so we chose a light pattern that smoothly fades between both. It’s really pretty. There was one flaw (and it wasn’t even a big deal but I want to be honest that it wasn’t perfect right out of the boxes) with the tree. Two of the branches were a little floppy and were drooping to the floor but it’s an easy fix with a little tightening the hinges. Honestly, for the price I can deal with having to do a simple fix of two floppy branches. This trees looks so much more expensive than it actually is…so I feel like it was a more than a fair trade to have to only tighten two hinges. My family loves it! They were very impressed. It was joy to see my kids in awe of this gorgeous tree. I believe this tree will be a core Christmas memory for my kids.

If you are new to flocked trees, let me prepare you: It will look like squished pipe cleaners when you open it, and you will need to spend about an hour “fluffing” the branch points, which means spreading them out in a star formation. During this process you and your living room will get covered in fake snow. This is a time-honored tradition understood by lovers of flocked trees, there is no avoiding it, so don’t punish this poor tree merchant with 3-star reviews. You signed up for this. I opened and assembled the tree in less than 10 minutes. The color is a rich, light pink, the color of Strawberry Quik. White ornaments look stunning. It has the perfect density to be decorated. It’s not sparse, but there’s room to put lots of ornaments and leave them free-hanging. The electrical cord is a matching pink, which is a nice touch you don’t often get with novelty trees. I intend to leave this up through Valentine’s Day because I’m lazy and it will look intentional.
