It has a high pitch cracking for anyone who’s never used one or is sensitive to that type of noise. This little unit packs a punch! It has helped tremendously in our basement with the musty smell and the smell of 3 cat litter boxes. We run it for 30 minutes after cleaning up after the cats and it refreshes the whole area and leaves it smelling clean. It is a game changer and not having to use scented candles and sprays to mask the smell is a big plus!
