Good size and spears to quality.
This was a gift. I have not used it yet, but appears to be very good quality for a good price. I look forward to seeing how it performs next spring/Fall. Thank you!

Great deal
First time pressure canning and it went well. Quality products! You don't need to pay big bucks for a name brand.

No pressure. Leaking steam
Can't get it to build pressure? Take silicone ring out, wash it and coat with a thin layer of vegetable oil! No problems after that

Know how to use a pressure canner before you buy.
Was excited(and scared half to death) to begin my adventure in owning a pressure canner! Thought it to be a good price. Comes with the basic tools. Was nice. However, I opened the box and as I read the little pamphlet I was struck by how many times it kept saying,” read all the instructions before using”. At least in 4 areas! But when I went to review how the gauge and vent worked it was very vague and dubious. This is a device that could technically hurt you badly if you’re not savvy. And yet not one clear description on what to look for when pressure canning. Gave more info on the pressure cooking, but I was ready to can. Over 30 minutes it took to get to finally vent a minimal amount of steam. I was waiting for steam and sputter and force, according to all the videos I watched about canning. Nothing in the pamphlet provided. So then I notice the bottom didn’t sit on the cook top level. It rocked side to side as if was bowed. Well, that’s not good. Then placing the juggler and it would barely move. The gauge jumped up to 1500 psi and the emergent vent began spewing steam. Hot moist steam everywhere! I forgot how long I was messing with the juggler and vent gauge. Had it been 10 minutes? I tried to lower the temp dial, but didn’t want it to drop below 1000 psi. I felt like I suddenly was being tested on what could go wrong with the pressure canning and how to manage it. All the while I’m trying not to think about this thing blowing off the lid and killing me! I was able to adjust everything keeping the temp at the level for my elevation. But the juggler really didn’t jiggle. I thought it wasn’t high enough temp. Maybe it’s my flat top stove not hot enough. But it said it was compatible. It’s why I got it. I don’t have a flame cooker. So here I am boiling the crap out of my beautiful chicken bone broth, knowing full well I’m probably not completely sure where I am temp and psi wise. But I read that pamphlet completely, by jingo! Eventually.my canning project was completed without any catastrophes. And I believe I boiled it so hard and for so long that botulism wouldn’t dare poke its head up. My jars started popping like they were supposed to. But without clear instructions on what to expect, that left me feeling abandoned. It’s a pressure canner. Focus on the canning part not the pressure cooking in it. It’s 22 quarts! How much food can one put in there! And if it’s steam that vents out only softly and barely visible. Why does every YouTube vid says vigorously vent and jiggle moderately? Mine didn’t hardly jiggle at all unless I tapped at it! That doesn’t count! I like to say that, in all fairness, know what you are supposed to do and see, first. Then adapt your equipment’s response. I don’t think the instructions were adequate, at all. At one segment it instructed the user to screw in the center gauge dial. Which when u looked was already attached and quite firmly. Like, if I tried to pull it apart there I’d hurt myself. The pamphlet indicated it be apart. Mine was already firmly attached, did not look like it should be messed with and frankly I thought this unit may have been previously used. Because of the parts diagram. Ergo, suspect psi/temp control. Not confident that the gauge or valves were ok and that the metal platform on the bottom seemed bowed and not sitting flat. I had to return it. No way to call a helpline. No instructions to reassure me what’s normal and what’s not.
