Excellent boots for work and outdoor recreation. I bought a second pair because I was a little wrong with the size. Take your size plus some room for your index finger and if the lacing is good you will be happy (watch the video on how to choose tactical boots correctly). I work in Florida, where it is always hot, my feet feel comfortable all day long. My feet do not sweat in boots with special socks and with proper shoe care. I have been wearing the first pair of boots for 5 months now, there is no smell from the boots! A small minus is that in heavy rain, when there is water outside and you step in a deep puddle, they will get wet, but for such weather there are rubber boots or tactical boots with a membrane like Cortex (you can consider them if you live in nature for weeks).

I’m a woman (5’4”, small feet) and bought these boots. I’ve worn combat boots for years and my husband (6’3”, large feet) has always loved the side-zip boots. I got these to try and bought the smallest size they offered, thinking they would be big on my feet. I love these boots and they are not huge on my feet. Easy on/off. Not too heavy and comfortable for all day wear. I wore them while I was doing yard work, building my house, riding my 4-wheeler, or just running errands. I did have to replace the insoles with better ones, but after a summer of wearing them almost daily, they are still in good condition. I got the coyote brown color, which is nice and dirt brushes off easily. I would buy these again. Just wish they made a bigger size for my husband.

My feet hurt all the time, and even more when I were shoes for long periods. Not with these boots, absolutely love them and was wearing them all the time. Now it’s summer and purchased lower profile hiking boots and love them just as much. Highly recommend

This 5.11 product overall has great foot support and ankle protection which many other manufacturers lack. Toe box is nice and wide but not as wide as the Keen product line. It's good for a tactical style boot. Fit was true to size. I wear an 11 US. Only thing that I thought was a little questionable was having a side zipper on a 6 inch boot. When you put on and take off the boots and have the zipper down there isn't much material left on the front and it seems a little iffy as far as durability is concerned. This makes me think that I should just order the non zip version. Maybe I'm missing something with this particular feature that someone else may benefit from.

So far these are great sturdy Little Boots. They are comfortable once they have broken in. They provide good stability. They look good even perhaps for a little bit dressy occasion with the right outfit. They are just as well in hunting or tactical clothes in the woods. Very glad that I bought them. Good tread too!

From the get go-very comfortable. My only regret is that there is no knife sleeve in this model shoe, probably because of the reduced height.
