This is a review of the MXJFYY 8.4V 2400mAh NI-MH Rechargeable Battery. This comes in a basic cardboard box and it fits in grandson's radio controlled model tank and it goes as well as the original battery that had died, but far better priced as one offered locally. But with rechargeable batteries, is the long term that matters and in their longevity. So far, quite pleased but as outlined, time will tell...

The battery was an inexpensive replacement for a dead battery that I thought would have left the product useless. Thanks to the battery it now works perfectly now. Thanks

12V 2400 mAh Rechargeable Battery as supplied by MXJFYY. I must admit I was a bit intrigued how this battery pack could be rated at 12 volts 2400 mAh so I had a wee look inside. The unit was made up of ten AAA sized batteries in series. The batteries are unmarked but it looks as if they are 1.2 volts each giving a total of 12 volts when in series. Each of these batteries would need to have a capacity of 2400 mAh but there's a problem. As far as I know they haven't been invented yet. To check, I charged up the battery and discharged it at 0.5 amps to a cut off voltage of 11.6 volts. The result was a more realistic value of 520 mAh. I am very disappointed with this battery pack because of its advertised highly inflated mAh capacity. It's a pity because the battery pack looks well-made. The total internal resistance was 370 milliohms which equates to 37 milliohms per battery which is good. If you are looking for a reasonable 12-volt battery pack this will certainly do the job but don't expect to get anywhere near the 2400 mAh capacity as advertised.
