I am only give it a 1 because I just purchased one and the screen went dark even though the device was On. I have repurchased it and if everything checks out, it will definitely be a 5 stars. First time experience did not go as planned, but since we are living in an imperfect world, mistakes can happen. Hence, I will wait for the second one. ******Update****** One of the best purchased that I have ever made in year 2025 so far. I have being using it for quite some time now, and it is as reliable as someone would want it to be. I have been using it mostly for my car surveillance, but I sometimes use it to capture long lasting family memory. I would highly recommend it.

I’ll never look at dash cams the same way after trying this. The Vantrue E360 ACE is packed with features, but what really impressed me is how well everything just works. It's not just a dash cam, it doubles as a handheld camera too. You can attach it to the tripod/selfie stick it comes with and use it on its own, which makes it more flexible than I expected. Setup was straightforward. The cabling was generous, they gave more than enough to run from the front unit to the center console, and then all the way to the rear camera (I used mine in a SUV). That alone made installation a lot easier, allowing me to go under the trim so to tidy everything up. Once it was up and running, I connected to it through the app on my phone. It uses its own WiFi signal, so you don’t need data, just connect and browse through your saved events, photos, or videos. Or if you prefer, you can just pop out the microSD card and plug it into your computer or phone directly. Video files save in 5-minute chunks by default, which I’ve found helpful for finding and clipping footage without having to scrub through massive files. The front camera gives you a full 360 degree view, and it’s really sharp. Not just "good for a dashcam sharp", more like action cam sharp. The rear camera surprised me too. I expected it to be average at best, but the quality is actually solid, especially at night. HDR and STARVIS 2 tech seem to do a good job keeping the picture clean without blowing out lights or crushing details. Little tip, get a big microSD card. This thing records a lot, and you’ll want the extra space, especially if you're using the 5.2K mode or parking mode features. Overall, this is a seriously well-rounded unit. Full coverage, easy to install, sharp video, solid night performance, and you’re not stuck dealing with a clunky app. I’ve tested a several dash cams before, this is the one I’d recommend.

Item: Vantrue E360 ACE This device seems to have a bit of an identity crisis... Is it a dashcam? Is it an action cam? Turns out it's both. The E360 mounts to the vehicle with a removable mount that contains a GPS receiver and connects to the power and rear camera cables. The main unit has all the features of any other premium dashcam... WiFi, collision detection, parking mode (if you get the hardwire kit) and others. The rear camera has 2.5K resolution using a Sony Starvis2 image sensor. The main unit is unique... It contains two cameras, one on the front of the unit and one of the back... each camera is configured with fisheye lens that allow for 360° recording. The recordings look a bit strange at first but there are a several recoring modes - 360° panorama (a wraparound image that shows all angle at once), Fisheye + Fisheye (two seperate recordings - one for each camera) and Dual Fisheye (Both cameras side by side in one recording). And then... It can be an action camera. The kit includes a handheld mount. The mount contains batteries to power the camera for up to 4 hours - Yes the camera is a bit power hungry. This allows you to use the dashcam as an action cam. Also included is a tripod stand that connects to the handheld mount to allow handsfree recording. The main unit records at 5.2K resolution and produces highly detailed recordings. The Starvis2 sensors are also able to provide excellent low light recordings and, as if that isn't good enough, the main unit incorporates IR LEDs to enable no light recording.

Received a defective product. Ordered 2/12, it's now 5/27. I ave been on the phone and emailing Vantrue every week for the last 3 months, shipped my unit back to them at an $18 expense to myself for a replacement, and they've promised every time that "the replacement will be sent out," but has yet to ship. Last time they said they'd be "shipping it Monday" was 2 weeks ago. Products that don't work, service that doesn't help or tell the truth.. writing this off as a $500 loss because I expect no one to help. TLDR: Unit I ordered was defective, took ages getting several people to help me troubleshoot over the phone, nothing worked, then sent back the defective unit once it was apparent it doesn't work, at an additional $18 cost to myself, was told a new unit would "ship Monday" 15 days ago. I am avoiding Vantrue for the rest of the foreseeable future and chalking them up as a scam considering this has been an ongoing nightmare for over 100 days now.
