A little bit of practice, lots of fun!
I got an Otamatone as a gift and wanted more than just make some funny noises. This book’s exactly what I was looking for. You have to practice hitting the right notes a little bit, but once you’ve mastered this you can play some real songs. The tablature used is really handy–you don’t have to know how to read music because you’re playing by letters. The playing basics are explained plainly and there are some nice songs, so I’m sure it will last me some time-recommended!

Not so easy for kids
First, the note finder that hooks to the instrument is paper, not a sticker. I didnt want paper tapes to it-so without it, the book is pretty useless.

Play Otamatone is a newish instrument, the book is very good as a teaching aid, but I have bought this book and the instrument (separately) for a young lady in her early twenties. The tunes chosen are from possibly the 1920s, I am 81 and these same tunes are in most first piano tunes sold in the 1960s. There is definitely a gap in the market for someone to write a book suitable for today’s generation.
