Overall im pleased with this item. Its easy to use and figure out. i have a similar one that isnt "smart" but the connectivity attacted me to this item. its easy to cycle through the body parts and measure each one. screen is clear and legible. its pretty lightweight and the design allows for it to get to the areas of the body pretty easily. i wouldnt say it feels super durable, im sure it could survive a couple tumbles but i wouldnt be tossing it around. the tape popped out of the black tab/holder really easily on me one of my first uses. not really sure why this needs to even be possible, just seems like an added feature that will make losing the tab/magnet too easy. The app from renpho is kind of a pain though, unless im missing something (i may be, would not be the first time) or maybe im just too particular; if i want to measure just my biceps the main screen on the app will only show them. in other words, if you want your main screen for the body measurements to show all of your most recent measurements you have to measure it one that cycle. there is another page that shows all of this, but why not just let me update my biceps and keep the rest of my measurements the same as the previous one. a minor gripe and more so to do with the app than the product itself but the app is made by the same brand so i figured i would throw it in there. If you can look past a couple minor things its well worth it.

I was going to cheap out on a different smart tape measure, but I'm glad I didn't because this one gave an exceptional app experience. From install to registration and the path into the app, whoever made it know what theyre doing with UX. Measuring is easy, but with all the measurements it can take 20 minutes, especially if the tape is being a little finicky. If you're looking for accurate metrics outside of the scale or DEXA, this is a solid purchase! Easy to read, fast connection to Bluetooth. Usage: 1. Measure the part 2. Retract the the tape 3. Click the check mark 4. Move onto next body part, repeat step 3. 5. When done, click "Save All" on the device. Don't do anything in the app until you're done. Voila!

Body Fat Scale ES-WBE28 Using since Jan/2022 (probably) Very happy with this scale. Gives consistent performance, long battery life and provides a great deal of information. Would happily recommend it to anyone interested in detailed information about the current state of your body. Tape Measure ES-TAPE Using since Jan/2022 Prior to Using this digital tape measure I was using a cloth tape like the type used by tailors. Although I found it awkward to use at first I eventually got the hang of it and have been able to record the various body measurements quickly without much fuss. I paid about $21.00 for it and feel it's worth the price. Tape Measure R-Y002 Using since May/2025 What an absolute frustrating POS this thing is. Where do I begin? The end of the tape is supposed to stay secured to the body of the unit by inserting a plastic tab into a slot. In theory this should work, but in reality , it doesn't want to stay in the slot. The ES-TAPE on the other hand has a cylinder shaped "tab" that "clicks" into place and stays securely fastened to the tape body. Yes, it has come loose a couple of times but the R-Y002's tab releases from its slot constantly! The unit is able to show measurements in both CM and IN. I prefer to use the IN notation. However, the display more often than not will show the CM and IN labels at the same time. When this happens the App displays the measurement CM and the only way to get the unit to display the IN reading is to force stop the App and re-measure. In the rare instance that I am able to get the unit and the App to display the measurement as desired I am able to enter the various body measurements. HOWEVER, often times I find that when I'm about halfway or more through the various measurements suddenly they all revert to a zero reading. So, what used to take me about 5 or so minutes to record the various measurements can take up to 15 to 20 minutes with the new and improved R-Y002 unit. The App Prior to using the R-Y002 Overall I have not had any problems using the App. The only thing I would like to see changed, is the prompting sequence of the listed measurements. If I already have the tape measuring my left thigh it would be alot more efficient to then measure my left calf as the next measurement since I already have the tape wrapped around that leg. Yes, you can tap on the App to select a different body part to measure, but the software wants to keep going back to what it originally selected. Very frustrating! All in all I'm happy with the Renpho line of products except for the R-Y002 TAPE Measure device. At $46 do yourself a solid and stick with the original ES-TAPE unit.

The measuring tape itself seems sturdy and durable. Not flimsy at all. Love the accuracy of the measurements and being able to access the current and historical data within the app. The caliber of data you get using this in combination with the RENPHO scale is high quality information. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I would’ve liked the thickness of tape itself to be wider with bigger numbers and it’s very difficult to operate by yourself. While you can manage it, for best results, you need someone else to measure you because the little end piece does not securely click into place. The descriptions says it locks but it’s just a weak magnet. IT SIMPLY GOES INSIDE AND SITS THERE!! It’s very awkward measuring the thickness of any given limb while trying to hold the measuring tape in place while also trying to press buttons you can barely see while also trying to see if the measurement got registered in the app and didn’t skip ahead. It’s also really easy to lose an override data. I’m on the fence as to whether or not to keep it bc I do love to accuracy and compatibility with the app. I’ll practice some more and see how it goes. Btw, in case anyone is wondering, maximum length is 62”. Hope this was helpful.
