I've had copal resin before, so I'm aware of what it looks like and smells like. First off this came in a bag with some huge chunks and tons of dust and looks clear, not at all like what resin looks like. Second there was zero smell coming from it, even holding it up to my nose. When I opened the plastic bag it came in, there was just a faint "plastic-y" smell. I tried to burn a tiny piece of it just to see and it smelled TOXIC, exactly like burning plastic. Extremely disappointed and returning item.

Obviously NOT "natural" or "organic"; our home filled with toxic plastic smell while burning (on charcoal as reccommended); clearly an adulterated product, and dangerous to be breathing in
