Amazon Basic Care Rapid Release Acetaminophen Caplets 500 mg, Extra Strength Pain Reliever and Fever Reducer, 400 Count

I’ve been using Amazon Basic Care Rapid Release Acetaminophen Caplets for headaches and general aches, and they work just as well as the name-brand versions I’ve tried. They start helping fairly quickly, and I like that the caplets are easy to swallow (not chalky or oversized). The price is a big reason I keep buying them—great value for the quantity, and it’s convenient to have a reliable pain reliever stocked at home. The bottle was sealed properly and arrived in good condition. As always, follow the directions on the label (especially the daily limit and avoiding combining with other acetaminophen products), but overall I’m very happy with these and will repurchase.

These are a shocking change from a white pill to a bright red pill. They work just like they're supposed to. Headaches disappear fast.

This acetaminophen works just like Tylenol but it’s way cheaper. I like that the caplets dissolve fast and relieve pain or fever really quickly. Definitely a good buy.

At first, this was very confusing, as the label on the bottle reads 400 caplets - 500mg each. The number that is engraved in the caplet appears to be 350 (see photo). So I thought that this means that these caplets only contain 350mg Acetaminophen. But first impression was wrong because the imprint reads “3S0”, not “350”. According to the U.S. FDA’s Pill Identifier database, a red capsule-shaped pill marked with “3S0” corresponds to Acetaminophen 500 mg, produced by Perrigo Company, a major over-the-counter pharmaceutical manufacturer that supplies generic medications for multiple store brands such as Amazon Basic Care. The product fights pain really fast and effective. The only negative thing with this product is the coloring agent used. The **Amazon Basic Care Acetaminophen 500 mg caplets** (red, capsule-shaped, imprint “3S0”) use **FD&C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake** as their artificial coloring agent. This synthetic dye, also known chemically as **Allura Red AC**, is a petroleum-derived **azo dye** approved by the U.S. FDA for use in pharmaceutical coatings, foods, and cosmetics. In these tablets, it provides the red color along with a minor blend of **FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake** to produce the specific reddish hue. There has been significant and ongoing controversy over the safety of FD&C Red No. 40 (Allura Red AC), particularly regarding its neurological and potential carcinogenic effects.

As good as name brand at a much better price. This is the second time I’ve purchased them.

I can’t imagine I’m alone in thinking that acetaminophen does not contain caffeine. Just couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get back to sleep after taking two. Well, now I know and these tablets are caffeine free!! And the good news is that they work just as well!

Good alternative to higher price Tylenol.. same ingredients except you’re not paying for all that advertising
