I'm not sure why any led needs to be on when the light is on.Since I already had my Smart Life account linked to my Google Assistant account, I had to de-link it and re-link it for Google to find my new switch.Overall this is a great switch, works great, easy to install, looks great, and is compatible with regular decora face-plates if you want to use another plate other than the one supplied. These are a better option than smart bulbs, because you always have a "hands on" option to turn the lights on-off. With smart bulbs, if you turn the lights off using the wall switch, you can't turn them back on with the app. With these you can use either one interchangeably.The Smart Life app is very user friendly as well.
