This Onlyfire had issues out of the box. After burning it in I set the temp tp180deg to smoke cream cheese. It hovered around 225-250* and never went down to 180*. When smoking @250* the temp swing would jump up to 350-400* it was all over the place never dropping and maintaining 250* I also had the same issues as others have mentioned with black soot on the food and a smoking pellet chamber. I reached out to Onlyfire on their website with emails and using the websites online chat box requesting a new controller. I to this day a year later after my purchase have never received a response.

This weekend i still have black smoke that smells chemically, AND the hopper box nearly caught on fire. no smoke coming from the grill side, all the smoke came from the hopper which is not correct operation of this device. See pic of the hopper nearly on fire & video of BLACK smoke & tar like substance on the outside top of the grill. I am not satisfied with this product and am quite concerned with safety of operation especially with the hopper nearly igniting and smoking really bad throughout the entire operation of this device. At temps from smoke -> 300 degrees the fan runs intermittently and the auger occasionally turns to feed the burn pot; and it seems black smoke is present at these lower temperatures. Also when I change from a higher temp (350- when the fan is running & no black smoke present) and change it to a lower temp (200-300 no fan running) the hopper box smokes up as if it is trying to catch on fire.

Since this was the last one in stock, I am not returning it, but improvising. Needs new control panel.

Does not hold a temp. Goes from 220 to 180 or 185 its trash

Won’t heat to temp, difficult to clean ashes, very heavy. I have used 4 times and always had problems getting and staying at temp. Useless as a grill. I have years of experience grilling and smoking. Hoped this would be an effective portable solution. Nope. Don’t waste your money.

This portable pellet grill works perfectly for just the 2 of us. It is like 35 pounds so I not be taking it anywhere but rather got a cart to put it on since it is heavy duty and well made. It did arrive with a hole in the box and a dent in the hood next to the hinge in back which when opened kind of clanked. But it fixed itself and it works perfectly and we love it! Especially for the great price! Have done baby backs, chicken thighs and hamburger and the built in thermometer helps a lot. Food was awesome!

Great smoker, small enough to put away when not needed or to take on a Summer trip... Locking top is great and now that I've done chicken and burgers a few times I am looking forward to doing brisket tomorrow!

Works great as a small portable alternative. Been using for about a month so far, no issues. Could be easier to clean, but not bad if you use tin foil.

I live in an apartment so it being small is a plus for me, other people may want a larger model.
