Its build quality is top‑tier—precise threading, durable materials, and a premium finish that feels engineered for professional use. As a CPL, it provides consistent polarization with no color cast or uneven roll‑off, and the integrated mist layer is tuned well enough to soften highlights without introducing unwanted halation or haze. What sets it apart is how controllable the effect is. The mist strength is subtle, giving you room to fine‑tune the final look in post rather than being locked into an overly strong diffusion. I’ve purchased multiple units and keep them on my primary lenses full‑time, using step‑up rings across the rest of my kit with zero vignetting or mechanical issues. In my opinion PolarPro continues to deliver reliable, high‑quality optics that perform exactly as advertised. Review: Great Daily Filter - Bought for a Fujifilm X100VI for my girl. She has trouble picking out film simulations and ends up editing heavily anyways. She loves grain and mist. This simplified the process by allowing her to use the standard shooting mode but also introducing just the right amount of diffusion around lights. We went on a photo walk shortly after we got it and she tested it on neon signs, yellow house lights, and oncoming cars. She loved it as it changed up her photos the way she wanted it to and cut down glare on windows as she frequently shoots reflections. It installed on her camera with no issues and the polarizer is easy to turn. It is a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Something to note is that the lens protector she previously bought also fit over the filter. It is a robust filter and dust won't be an issue since it will likely live on her camera for the rest of its life. ## Features - Shortstache Signature Edition - Polarizer + Black Mist - Emulates Garrett King’s Shooting Styles/Looks - Aluminum frame finished in a subtle matte green colorway - 18 Layer Coating - Anti-Scratch / Anti-Reflective / Anti-Fingerprint - All new Chroma Polarizer Glass provides zero color shift and exceptional clarity ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D98LMGLW | | Best Sellers Rank | #99 in Camera Lens Effects Filters | | Brand | PolarPro | | Built-In Media | Shortstache Filter | | Coating Description | Multi Coating | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Cameras with 55mm lens size | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 192 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Glass | | Exposure Control Type | Manual (M) | | Item Dimensions L x W | 2.17"L x 2.17"W | | Manufacturer | PolarPro | | Manufacturer Part Number | 55-SS-EVRDY | | Material | Glass | | Media Type | ProductImage | | Model Name | Shortstache - Everyday | | Model Number | 55-SS-EVRDY | | Model Series | Shortstache | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Photo Filter Effect Type | Polarizer | | Photo Filter Size | 5.5 centimeters | | Photo Filter Thread Size | 5.5 centimeters | | Screen Size | 5.5 centimeters | | Set Name | Shortstache | | Special Effect | Polarizer | | Thread Size | 5.5 centimeters | | UPC | 810148701635 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** PolarPro - **Coating Description:** Multi Coating - **Material:** Glass - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Photo Filter Effect Type:** Polarizer - **Photo Filter Size:** 5.5 centimeters - **Photo Filter Thread Size:** 5.5 centimeters - **Product Dimensions:** 2.17"L x 2.17"W - **UPC:** 810148701635 - **Water Resistance Level:** Not Water Resistant ## Images ![PolarPro - Shortstache - Everyday - 1/4 Strength Black Mist - 55mm - Camera Filter - in Collaboration with Garett King - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mQtZyqjUL.jpg) ![PolarPro - Shortstache - Everyday - 1/4 Strength Black Mist - 55mm - Camera Filter - in Collaboration with Garett King - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71tA4sRjeXL.jpg) ![PolarPro - Shortstache - Everyday - 1/4 Strength Black Mist - 55mm - Camera Filter - in Collaboration with Garett King - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71NLHc1zqlL.jpg) ![PolarPro - Shortstache - Everyday - 1/4 Strength Black Mist - 55mm - Camera Filter - in Collaboration with Garett King - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81qDnqwRBSL.jpg) ![PolarPro - Shortstache - Everyday - 1/4 Strength Black Mist - 55mm - Camera Filter - in Collaboration with Garett King - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714GvajhvfL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Optical Performance & Pro‑Level Build *by F***Q on December 22, 2025* The PolarPro Shortstache delivers excellent optical performance with no noticeable image degradation.
