Good quality oil and great moisturiser
I bought this after seeing it reviewed on YouTube and was recommended this brand as it is pure good quality oil, no additives! Oil is very thick and when it first comes out you feel like it is going to make your skin really sticky but when once rubbed in that feeling disappears as it really does just soak into the skin and make it feel soft. I've been using it for a week now so can't comment in the long term effectiveness but my skin feels softer already. I would recommend this as a night time moisturiser, its a bit heavy for daytime. The smell takes some getting used to but isn't unbearable and it hardly bothers me now. I bought the smaller size to check if I like it before splashing out on the bigger version but I'll definitely buy a bigger bottle next time, now I know I like it.

As expected
As expected however comes in a plastic bottle which I didn’t acknowledge at point of purchased. Preference is a glass bottle

Heritage store Castor Oil.
Heritage Store's castor oil is a fantastic, multi-purpose beauty oil! This cold pressed, hexane-free, vegan, and cruelty-free formula is excellent for nourishing hair, promoting growth for lashes and brows, and moisturising skin. The 118ml bottle offers a good amount of this high quality oil, making it a simple and effective addition to any natural beauty routine. Highly recommend!

Castor oil
Very good quality thick castor oil, easy application and it makes my skin very soft. I apply on to my eyelashes and eye brows for growth and has been working well. Great value for money. No smell

Good quality
This is a very thick / heavy oil, and it smells quite strong so you can tell it's good quality (I don't like the smell of castor oil but I already knew that going in - you can add a few drops of essential oil to change the scent to something more pleasant if you wish). I just wish the bottle had a nozzle, but at least it isn't in one of those horrid glass ones with a pipette!

Good Ingredients
I got this after seeing it reviewed and recommended by a few 'influencers' due to it's good ingredients of being hexane free, cold pressed and 100% organic. I do find it quite thick and hard to get out of the bottle which is why I have knocked a star off. I have experimented with warming it up with my fingers first, but I found that most of the oil stayed on them, so I now pat it onto my face and then blend it in. I was worried that it would leave a stickiness on my skin but once it absorbs / dries, this is not a problem. I have only been using it for a week, so I have not yet noticed that much of a difference apart from my skin feeling softer. I am hoping that it will lighten up the darker pigments and make my skin less patchy so that I will be able to wear less make up to cover. I'm not sure how long it will last as it being so thick means I have to apply more than a couple of drops just for my face and I want to see the effects before I repurchase and use on my hands and neck. I have used it on my eyelashes as well and can confirm it is safe to use around the eyes. From what the 'influencers' have said it can take a couple of months to see a noticeable difference. Here's hoping it lives up to the hype! Remember to store out of the sunlight. Ideally castor oil should come in a dark coloured glass container to prevent light damage to the ingredients. I keep mine in a cupboard to help with this.

Real castor oil is thick. Like the thickness of this - feels & smells good.
Real castor oil is thick. I like the thickness of this - feels & smells good. I noticed reviewers complaining about the thickness, that’s castor oil, it’s thick. This is a travel sized bottled, so they’re not going to put it in glass bottling for travel obviously. However, I noticed they are using PCR plastic, which is a good idea for most plastic bottles, but for a carrier oil, I wouldn’t be using PCR plastic (leaching concerns). So, I decanted this into a glass jar at home. Tricky rating, 4 or 5 stars? I’ve given it 5 stars, but people paying this much for castor oil tend to know what they’re using & why, so use Tritan quality plastics, or HDPE, instead of recycled PCR plastics. So, 4.5 stars is my rating. I’d decant this personally.
