365 by Whole Foods Market, Salted Butter, 16 Ounce

This butter is delicious. It upped the taste of my homemade potato soup and that’s saying a lot. I never thought I would like an off brand butter. This is fabulous.

I have not been disappointed with the 365 brand, and price was right. I was a little surprised with the packaging on this delivery. Box was slim like a cream cheese carton, so I thought I was accidentally sent the 2-stick package, but it is one pound, just with thicker, shorter sticks of butter placed next to each other, rather than stacked. (I believe this is called West Coast Butter or "Stubbies" design). The longer butter in pictures is the standard size we're all familiar with. It still fits in my butter dish and I can still cut up where needed for recipes, so it is fine. Delivered fresh and cold with my FRESH order.

I've never written a butter review before but its 2020 and why not. First off this stick is thicc, its a robust stick that has some heft to it. Also weird but kind of neat, you get 4 sticks total that equal 2 normal sticks. Seems weird and gimmicky but a feature to note nonetheless. Definitely one of the pricier butters on the market but well worth the investment if you're looking to add some flavor to your favorite popcorn or maybe zest up some veggies.

A lot of reviews are noting the weird size of these sticks and some say they're half sticks equal to two regular sticks. That's not true. There's "east coast" and "west coast" packaging for butter, and there always has been. As the pictures in someone's reviews show, the stick are thicker in addition to being shorter. You're just maybe seeing it for the first time thanks to everything being shipped everywhere now. Nothing new or weird about this packaging and they are "full" 4 oz sticks. Although you might have a problem fitting it in your butter dish if you didn't specifically get one made for these.

I really like the flavor of this butter. Even my mother, who doesn't usually comment on butter, asked what kind of specialty butter I used. She thought I had put out French or Irish butter. Sorry, it's not THAT good, but it's still much better than another store brand I've used in the past.Given how difficult it is to find butter these days, persist with your order. Whole Foods seems to get this in stock on a regular basis. You just have to be lucky with your timing.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann
