What is "New" about it besides the box and the number of tea bags? Are they using a new decaffeination technique?

The blend has been reformulated (I contacted PG Tips because I thought there must have been a manufacturing malfunction due to such a different taste). It has a weird taste of bergamot in my opinion. That may be ok for folks who drink their tea black but it doesn't pair well with milk. It's not at all like the previous version when there were 80 tea bags in a box. It's not as strong, not like a proper British cuppa. I have to use 4 teabags in my teapot where I used to put 3 teabags in the teapot with the original version, and let it steep for a lot longer. Suggest you buy one or two boxes to see if you like it before you land yourself with 4 or more boxes of the stuff.

How much does the new 70 count box weigh? I'm currious to know if it's over or under 210g.

what is the "best by" date on this product?

I don't pay much attention to expiration dates on tea. It is my opinion that as long as it is stored in a cool dry place or in a container with a good seal it can be kept indefinitely. Again this is only my opinion.

Is this a rebranding of “pg tips evening blend”, or just straight decaf? if the latter, anyone know where i can get the evening blend?

I’m unable to drink caffeine, so finding a quality black caffeine free tea is difficult in local supermarkets. This British tea is perfect. The packaging is always good, shipping is fast. I now have a good supply. Price is good if not better than in local stores.
