Disappointing :( I'd tried the Peri Peri flavor and really loved it. Perfect amount of seasoning, and a nice texture...moist and chewy. I wanted to spread the Brooklyn Bitlong love and bought some to share with friends. But since they don't like as much spice, I decided to get the Jo'burg Steakhouse flavor, figuring it would be all of the goodness with less of the heat. But it was dry and powdery, instead of moist and chewy. And it is way way too salty - there was no taste of garlic or vinegar or other tanginess...or beef...all that came through was salt. The overwhelming saltiness was surprising, since according the the label the Steakhouse version has less sodium (240 mg) than the Peri Peri version (390 mg) and that one was nowhere near as salty. I do wonder if something went wrong in the production process. I'll wind up using it on salads or tossing into stir fries, etc where saltiness and a protein boost is welcome.

Best beef jerky type snack I’ve ever had. It’s like little slices of Peter Luger’s steak in a bag. Absolutely perfect seasoning.

I’ll start by saying that I absolutely loved eating this product; lean meat, was always moist and not dried out, but… They need to get their shipping together! Not bashing the company; just my honest personal opinion. I could tolerate the poor zipper on the packaging (if you order this product, plan on having a gallon Ziploc bag for the 16 ounce bag that you ordered on hand, because you’re going to end up needing it. Every bag that I have ordered as soon as I open it, the zipper portion that’s supposed to allow the bag to be closed again on the inside, pulls away from the actual bag and would therefore leave the bag exposed to air and dry out to meat. However, since I started ordering their product, their shipping times have gotten ridiculous. I ordered two bags of one flavor on 1/8/23, it’s now 1/20/23 and I just got an email saying that it’s being delayed another two days, and if I haven’t received it by then, then I can come back for a refund. I don’t want a refund, I want the $90 worth of product I ordered! And this is just one of multiple orders that take well over a week to arrive at best. I understand that some things take time, but for such a consumable product, you can’t just sell it snd leave the consumer hoping they see it sooner than later. So all that told, I’ve chosen to start trying other brands. Too bad. Really did like this stuff!
