Lion Brand Hometown Tarn is my favorite for making loom knit hats. I use the adult (orange) loom and can make one hat with yarn left over. These hats are great for giving to the unhoused people. There are many different colors. The people appreciate the choices. I usually order the solid colors as more yarn than the tweeds or specialty colors. As a give away, I want quality, softness and price. This meets all my needs!

It's very good yeah the texture could be a little weird because it's not wool. It's an acrylic blend.That said it knits up beautifully.

I bought this yarn to finish a scarf. Easy to crochet with and soft.

Hometown yarn by Lion Brand was difficult to knit because the yarn kept separating into 3 strandsso I had to pay close attention to each stitch. The yarn is very soft and has almost a pearl sheen to it.I would not buy it again because of the difficulty I had knitting it.
