Jessica on a new paper that I wanted to try. Had not used rice paper and many many years and this is perfect. It’s big enough but I can also cut it in half and use smaller pieces just what I wanted. Good quality.

Worth the money.

I found this to be very useful in a printing process I am using, as a utility paper for blotting excess ink from prints. I am not drawing on it directly, but see no reason it wouldn't work well. It did come folded over but I found that when the pack of paper was laid flat the fold largely settled out after a few days.

Good quality and works great when making my journals.

This is a great office and school supplies brand. the Xuan paper is great with both Chinese calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting.

I ordered this pack of SEAMEW Calligraphy Rice Paper for Chinese Brush Painting and Japanese Sumi to use for cyanotypes. Conventional wisdom says that cyanotypes work best with high-quality watercolor paper. My experience, though, is that cyanotype can be adapted to many different paper types. Some of my best work, for example, has been printed on teabag paper. Coating this paper with cyanotype emulsion proceded as expected. The paper is quite smooth. I used a hake brush instead of a foam brush to avoid abrading the surface of the paper. Because it is thin, quite a bit of emulsion will soak through to the reverse side of the paper, so it's important to protect the surface you are coating on. You can also expect to have an extended drying time. The paper dries relatively flat with only minimal curl/ripple and it flattens out when placed into a contact printing frame. Exposure times were in line with other media. Development and washing, however, require a lot of care as this paper will tear very easily. Although I usually use tongs to move my prints back and forth from tray to tray, I found that I needed to use my hands with this paper. I also needed to avoid running water directly onto the surface of the paper. Wash times of longer than 10 minutes are definitely not recommended as this paper will, given enough time, disintegrate. Overall, I was pleased with the results I got with this paper.
