The Dress: 100 Iconic Moments in Fashion

A gorgeous book, a feast for the eyes for fashion lovers. Megan Hess is so talented. This book would make a lovely gift in addition to keeping a copy for yourself. All the great influencers and designers are included..my favourites to name a few feautured in the book: Grace Kelly, Jackie O, Marilyn, Audrey, Diana Vreeland and modern icons in the dresses they are famous for.The only illustration I didn't like was the 'Meat Dress' of lady gaga..for me, she does not belong there, I don't put her in this league. However, just a beautiful book.

OMG! I was sort of skeptical buying this at first because of previous reviews saying it wasn't what they expected.. but holy cow, this book is awesome!! The first section is about designers, and the second section is about icons (the women wearing the dress) and so on.. it is SO cute and perfect for the fashion lover!! Do not pass up this awesome deal!

It’s not a must-read, but is certainly eye candy. The dresses aren’t arranged chronologically or alphabetically (by the wearer), which is a little odd. The book, while mostly talking about fabric in meters, sometimes reverts to imperial measurements. Nevertheless, it was fun to read.

Cute book and good for side taboe

Love the illustrations and narration. Each dress says who the famous person who wore it was and there is a description of the dress and circumstances. For those of us who love watching the beautiful gowns of the world and dream, this is a great book. The illustrator is great, showing a range of dresses from intricate to simple, all very gorgeous.

A wonderful volume for fashion lovers, sketch artists, and anyone who appreciates the skill it takes to reflect the vision of the designer.

題名そのまま、100種類のドレスが描かれたイラスト集…というと、 なんだかよくありそうな感じがしますが、 表紙に惹かれてジャケ買い？したら、 期待していた以上の素晴らしい作品でした！ 時代やシーンを網羅したセレブたちのドレス姿が、 簡潔な文章を添えて、美しく、同時にキュートに描かれているのですが、 どのページもとにかく魅力に溢れていて、 (使い古された表現ながら)宝石箱のような本です。 当然ではありますが、全てのイラストがMegan Hessによるものなので、 様々なデザイナーのドレスを一人のイラストレーターが描いている、 という点で、資料としても興味深いと思います。 実際、オリジナルのドレスの写真と見比べたりすると、 また新たな発見があったりもします。 …長々と書いてしまいましたが、 表紙のイラストに少しでも惹かれる部分を感じるなら、 買って損は絶対にないと思います。

I already follow Megan on Instagram and admire her talent!!! Bur anyway I prefer real paper book which you can finger through... This book has overcome all my expectations! The amazing quality of the pages, the superb illustrations! Everything is done with taste! I am planning to order other books by her... The book serves me as a source of inspiration as I am practising fashion illustating as well
