Excellent Dehumidifier
I’ve struggled with high humidity for years and used various dehumidifiers, but this one from Meaco has is the best by far! It maintains the perfect humidity level by automatically checking every 30 minutes and turning itself on or off as needed. Its cheap to run, quiet and the digital display makes it easy to monitor the current humidity, and you can set your preferred target level. The large 4.8l front tank is simple to remove for emptying, and it automatically shuts off when full. The laundry mode is excellent, drying clothes quickly whilst keeping the room’s humidity in check. The built-in HEPA filter is another huge bonus, and it doubles as a standalone air purifier, which is especially handy during the summer months. This is a fantastic all-in-one device!

Impressive Dehumidifier
Nice stylish design, good quality and well made. Quiet in normal operation and very quiet in night mode. Very good at drying washing. Economical to run. Very surprised at the amount of moisture removed in the first two days of operation. Now we let it run continuously switching modes as required. Very happy with our purchase.

Good Quality Dehumidifier and Air Purifier
Our first experience with a dehumidifier and air purifier after battling condensation in our two bedroom bungalow. Reviewed what was available on the market and decided on a MeacoDry Arête One 20L, ordered from Amazon on a Sunday took receipt of it on the following Monday at around 1.0 pm read the manual and placed in the hall. Waited 6 hrs before use to allow refrigerant to settle then switched on. At around 6.0am the following day (after 18 hrs continuous use) there was virtually no condensation in the house. By approximately 1.30pm the machine switched itself to having reached the target level of 55% rh from a starting point of 68% rh. I am extremely impressed !! I also fitted the Hepa filter supplied which increases the noise level slightly but it may be my imagination but the house feels warmer and the air fresher. I emptied the water tank before it was completely full just to get familiar with it and there was approximately 4 litres of water. My wife and I are in our early seventies and have found the manual and machine straight forward so would highly recommend.

Excellent!
I've had this for a few weeks now and I already notice a massive difference. I live in a basement flat - which are naturally more humid places and had noticed a musty smell so I bought humidity sensors before buying the dehumidifier and the humidity was very high. In the first few days, the machine was running constantly and I had to empty it twice in one day over the first few days (that's 9 litres of water!). Now, after a few weeks, the humidity is at normal levels throughout my flat and the smart senor means it turns on and off automatically to maintain a constant level. The dryer function for clothes is great too! Just put it beside your airer and the clothes will be dry in a few hours - which is handy in the winter when I can't dry in the garden. On noise, it's no louder than a bathroom fan but I have it in the hall so don't need to use the night function (but it does get noticeably quieter in night mode). It costs about £1.40 a day to run (running for about 18 hours a day on automatic I would estimate) - so it is a little expensive when counted over the month. But when I compared it to other models, this was still the lowest energy consumption for what you get. My only complaint is the instructions aren't very clear - I actually thought the machine was faulty and contacted customer services who sent a video link on how to use the machine. Most of the instructions in the video aren't included in the manual, or are in no way clear (such as the variable humidity - the machine is set to 55% humidity for example but won't turn off until it reaches 52% - which is normal but very unclear in the manual). But the video on YouTube explains it all so not a big deal. I would absolutely recommend this machine. I am just sorry I didn't buy it sooner!

Good, but not yet a complete product
This machine is good, don't get me wrong. It works well, and is a solid dehumidifier. Perhaps the best. However, it does need a second version of it, to fix it's issues: - Lack of app support to show energy use, timings, humidity level - Water dispenser leaks out both ends when pouring - Not quiet enough to sleep in the same room, metallic tones from compressor - Cable handle is loosely attaches and resonates sometimes - HEPA filter is too small. It both makes the system louder and work harder - Fan tones are present. I don't think the impeller is balanced properly Hopefully the engineers see this, they're close to a great product!

Very effective and quiet
I purchased it after reading many positive reviews by other buyers on Amazon. I was not disappointed. It generated about 2/3 Liters of water in the first 7-8 hours of running. The user-interface is very simple. It comes with a child lock which is a relief for me as I have a toddler at house who loves to press any button wherever she finds it. It also gives a peace of mind to know that it comes with five years warranty. The mesh grill on the top seems slightly bigger where my kid can drop in things such as a pencil. I just have to keep an eye on it. It is slightly heavy to carry upstairs. Though, it has wheels to move around on the flat surface. I keep it running 24/7. It generates about 2/3L of water every 12 hours. I did not know I had that much of moisture in my house until now. I hope the electricity bill does not shoot up drastically. It comes HEPA filter and hence, purifies the air as well. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I would love to recommend it to others as well.

Drys laundry quickly in cold, wet England
My bathroom has poor ventilation so I bought this to prevent mould coming back. The walls and ceiling dry much more quickly now, and as a side benefit dries my laundry and help clear space in the house for hanging more clothes. The quiet mode is really handy for night time. I love how easy it is to empty the water tray.

It does as stated and is effective. Elegant design with wheels under the unit and a handle you can pull out on the top to move it around if necessary without issues straight to avoid compressor issues. The touch display is easy to use and the readings are clear. Water tank is easy to remove and has a handle you can pull out. Included is a H13 HEPA filter which you can install and besides it the built in dust filter. In case the H13 HEPA filter is already installed remember to remove the plastic cover else the airflow will be severely restricted although mine came non installed but seems it may vary. As for the fan it is comfortably quiet with mostly a soft wind sound but there is a slight 'humming' noise with only the fan running but I find it to be quite harmonical and when the compressor is running it is a notch higher but still for me not disturbing in a quiet room at 2 meters distance. I reckon the 'humming' noise should reduce over time as fans in general need to 'break in' during 50-100 hours. NOTE: Remember to let the dehumidifier stand straight for at least 6 hours before connecting it to the power outlet to let the gas settle down after the transportation as it is bound to shake around the gas and if it hasn't settled down before use it could cause issues or bad functionality. ADDITIONAL NOTE: I just figured out most of the humming noise in my case is due to the carrying handle. Pulling it out and lightly pressing it forward removes almost all of the 'humming' noise caused by vibration.
