Love
Black India Ink has been a fantastic addition to my art supplies for class projects. The deep, rich black pigment delivers an intense, consistent tone that really makes line work and illustrations pop. Whether I’m doing detailed pen-and-ink drawings, mixed-media pieces, or brush washes, the ink performs reliably every time. One of the biggest strengths of this ink is its smooth flow and opacity. It doesn’t streak or fade when applied, and it offers great coverage even with light layers. It dries fairly quickly (which is great for fast-paced class sessions), and once dry it stays put without smudging — perfect for students who are still mastering control and technique. I also appreciate how versatile it is: it works wonderfully with dip pens, brushes, and technical pens alike. Cleanup is easy with just a bit of water, and the bottle is sturdy and easy to pour.

Real india ink, super black, worked for off-label use
Perfect real india ink with shellac! It's getting harder to find real india ink lately. I used this ink to recharge some Pitt artist's pens that had dried out in my drawer after sitting in their packaging for a few (like about 10) years. It worked beautifully for this -- a few drops from the supplied dropper into the back of the pen and a little time (overnight) and it was like my pen was new again! Do NOT use this in a fountain pen though -- only for dip pens and brushes -- or, off-label -- to recharge (refill) a Pitt india ink artists marker.

Love this ink
I was very happy with this ink I wanted to mix it and it did nicely. I haven't had any issues with it clogging my foundation pen which is amazing! I love the color and it dries very quickly I was pleasantly surprised!

Good with pointed dip pen
My niece chose this color for the calligraphy on her wedding place cards that I am making. It works well with a pointed dip pen. The color is darker than it looks in the bottle, close to burgundy.

Black Magic is magical - Have used this ink for years
This is waterproof and heavy black colored ink. Have used about 30 bottles of it making artwork. Good product for dip pen use. Just be sure to clean this off the pen nib. It is 100% waterproof and does have a slight sheen to it. Makes good washes with water although if they aren't used right away the ink tends to turn into sediment. Very good product.

Smooth
Great consistency. Flows smoothly from a dip pen. Nice opacity.

Expande muito no papel, deixando a espessura da linha irregular e mais grossa do que o esperado. Testei em papel deleter normal (não o kent).
